I wonder what the actual sales for Thriller are. It was last certified in 1992 and it has sold consistently ever since (135 000 in 2004).

I wonder if there are certifications that there are not on the BPI website.

For example, I saw at eil.com that they were selling a Gold certification plaque of 100,000 copies of the album "Life" by The Cardigans in UK, but this certification is not on the website!

Also, Janet Jackson's "All for you" is Gold (this one I found in some .pdf files at the BPI website) but when you search on the certifications database, this award is not shown :-?

It's full of errors, for a start Idlewild's "100 Broken Windows" is silver in the PDF, but not on the database!!!.

Also, when their database was down, we were able to e-mail them for info. They sent me the silver and silver/gold/platinum certifications for Feeder's "Echo Park" album, and said "Yesterday Went Too Soon" went silver in 2001.

Anyhow, on the database, it only gives the platinum certification for "Echo Park", as if the other awards were not applied for, and on the Feeder website in 2001, there was a competition to win your own personalised signed gold disc!!, and still says "Yesterday Went Too Soon" went silver on it's week of release!!!.

The PDF's all list this correct info that is either incorrect in the database, or missing.

Also, A's album "Hi-Fi Serious" is still silver, even though there was a personalised gold disc comp on their website.

84,000 until last week. She will come close to 100k this week, as she's #19 on the midweeks and probably will sell another 10k or so

when we'll know the 02/07 certifications? I'm curious cuz I saw that Mariah received a PLATINUM certification for TEOM at MTV TRL in the UK last mondat (04/07), I already saw the video and they show the certification plaque and stuff for over 300k shipped, but I tought it was so early, since the album just sold 160k until this week :roll:
