This is indeed a mystery...no doubt this is a great show,but why this,enjoying belated chart sucsess,when there are other(superior) Presley comps out there,like "Elvis '56",for instance?
Your guess is as good as mine. I wrote to Billboard to see if they could throw some light on the matter but did not get a reply. Sony(UK) feel that it is more than likely due to the cheap price.

I can buy that,but all the Elvis CDs at the Wal Marts Ive checked out are priced the same as AAATG.
Apparently,at WMs I havent been to,there is some kind of push going for this title.

I must admit I didn't buy the Sony explanation either because as you say other titles are on sale at the same price. However, I was not aware that there was some kind of promotion taking place for AAITG. Would be interesting to get a photograph of any display etc.
