CATASTROPHE! :(

I honestly didn't think I'd see non sell outs this time; that night above represented like a 70-75% sell out - really appalling!

the only places in America that Mariah may sell out would be New York and Los Angeles

Celine sells out stadiums across the continent. 8-)

Celine has built up a much stronger international profile than Mariah, hence why she can still tour the world and gross $280m. That being said, these Vegas figures are disappointing.

Congratulations on 20,000 posts by the way stevyy!

Well 70% would't be catastrophic either - she's been at this now for some 9 years, with a relatively small break in between.

99% of artists in this world can only dream of such longevity. That being said, its still really disappointing to see the first non-sell out.

The truth is that 99% of the biggest Tour names act couldn't care less to spend a whole decade in that shitty place to amount the same money they could get in a WAY shorter period.

That being said I'm so curious to see the response this days to a proper new Celine Tour....hope she'll finally change register, put an end to this boring Vegas page, and re-start touring as it should be.

But that same shitty place has no over heads for Celine and allows her to pocket over $500,000 every time she does a show to just 4,000 people, which in turn allows her to live the family life she's always wanted.

Don't knock her for wanting to be a good - albeit it extremely wealthy - mum. 8-)

^Yes, Celine has a family now. If she wants to stay in Vegas and not tour worldwide, that is ok with me.

A New Day... stopped having sold outs in summer 2004. Honestly, I don't think it makes sound business sense to extend a contract when she isn't even halfway through it. Anyway, it surprised me that she could sell so well without anything new to offer, no promo...

But I agree with denise. No other artist at the top of their career would consider doing a residency show. Celine has done that because her husband has always been obsessed with Las Vegas, Elvis Presley...

I agree. Being constantly travelling is no good for little children. They need stability. I'm sure that's Celine's most important goal now: her kids.

Brilliant.

At $162, she has by far the highest average ticket price of anyone in the top 50 [only Andrea Boccelli who is in the 60s/70s rivals her].
