Can someone please post the most updated count we have of Nirvana total sales figures for both soundscan and RIAA for all Nirvana albums (Total sales and by albums) Thank you. Also, does anyone know when Nirvana's certification's might be updated with the RIAA. In Utero and Unplugged haven't been updated in almost 10 years and Nevermind not since 1999. And if possible, if anyone has an idea on Nirvana worldwide sales that would be interesting to know too. Thanks. Look forward to anyone's reply

Also, Just wanted to say if anyone has information on Nirvana; either updated sales figures, chart information, or just general comments, you may place it in this forum. This way all Nirvana fans can find sales and chart information about this band who have shipped at least 25 million albums in the United States and 62 million worldwide. I am trying to put together a chart of Nirvana sales and charting for the United States and as many countries as possible. Any help would be appreciated:)

Thanks guys for the info.....still wondering if anyone has updated Worldwide Sales for Nirvana, or any particular countries. Also, I noticed that the sales figures do not include The Best of the Box Album...anyone know this...I know it isnt much. I would also be curious to think if anyone else feels some of Nirvana's RIAA certifications are low, especially for Nevermind, In Utero, and Unplugged.

Side Note....Haven't seen Nirvana single sales mentioned. I know the RIAA has posted for Nirvana that Smells Like Teen Spirit standard single has shipped 1 million and Smells Like Teen Spirit Digital download now certified 500,000.

So according to this at least 3.1 million Nirvana albums shipped in Canada. However, missing sales figures for the Unplugged Album and Box Set which also sold well in Canada. I would think that the unplugged sold just as good as In Utero if not better, as this was the case in many countries. The Nirvana Album probably sold close to 300,000. Including the official sales I could find plus some conservative estimates of the other albums, Nirvana probably sold well over 3,500,000 albums in Canada

I had thought Nirvana worldwide has sold about 52,000,000 albums. Found this post by MJdangerous in Chart Analysis entitled Elvis,The Beatles,or Michael Jackson worlds biggest seller? which was posted Sun Sep 03, 2006 3:54 pm saying that Nirvana has shipped/sold 62,100,000 albums worldwide making them #64. Just wondering any thoughts on this information and whether anyone thinks this may be accurate. Also, if you have any further info on Nirvana please add. I'm still looking for full Nirvana sales for Australia, Canada, and Germany. Thanks
