That was my initial reaction as well, but you know what? I think this might just work. She's always had that soul/r&b thing going on and as long as she doesn't go overboard with it (think Ciara), I think she might even pull it off. Great to see that she's not sticking to the same old stuff though, I'd rather have her try something new every now and then and fail than to have the same sort of songs on every single album.

Anywho, can't wait for this to be released! 8-)

i agree, the artists who last in the charts and remain successful (think madonna) constantly change their style. She had the pop / soul vibe in her first two albums, the sprock sound in her third and on the new songs in her greatest hits. I'm glad she's constantly changing styles, makes her a versatile artist

I didn't like the title actually, but I hope I will like what's inside.

Anastacia recently signed a new deal with Mercury Records, reuniting her with its new president David Massey, with whom she has collaborated with on all her past records. She is currently in the studio writing and recording with some of the world’s most desired producers including; Ne-Yo: (Rihanna, Janet Jackson, Mary J. Blige, Beyonce); Lester Mendez (Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Jimmy Page); JR Rotem: (Sean Kingston, Destiny’s Child, Fergie); Guy Chambers: (Robbie Williams, Cathy Dennis, Kylie Minogue); Rodney Jerkins (Pussycat Dolls, Beyonce, Natasha Bedingfield).

Most of them are R'n'B producers, but I don't think Ananstacia would do that kind of music, well, let's wait and see.

maybe she wants to finally attack US with more urban sound but will that work for her?
I would prefer something in style of "Anastacia" but yes, maybe R'n'B (decent) could be interesting 8-)

Thére are mostly r´n´b producers, but I think Ana will put there a lot of pop, soul and little bit rock ... so it will make a great mixture ...
I cannot wait to hear Ana´s voice in Darkchilds song ...

I think it'll sound real good,
also remember she's working with the person behind Shakira's 'Laundry Service' album, and also with Guy Chambers and the people who mainly worked on her Not That Kind/Freak Of Nature album,
So I reckon it'll be a Pop album with RnB beats.

Also, she's shooting the video next week in L.A., and the director has shot vids for Mariah, Pussycat Dolls and Rihanna (Umbrella).

I think she's good at the funk/R&B/soul stuff, I mean that's what she did on the first two albums... but I hope she doesn't lose the rock edge altogether as that's what pushed her success even more!

Well she worked with Kara Diogaurdi again, who was behind 'Pretty Little Dum Dum', and that was one of the edgiest songs on the album.

I want her to change her image a bit. Just a little tiny bit, to make her appeal to the US market. If she cracks that, shes a true worldwide star :D She can then compete with the real divas of the world similar to her
