Yeh i knew it simply had to be a VERY cool Poster to start off this Topic, and i was SO SO right!!

Well the All Blacks are the clear favourites, and even though they are the Brazil of Rugby suprizingly they have only won one World Cup!

Maybe France are the clear 2nd favourites now, atleast on current form.

If i gave up Cider,Lager,Gin,stopped loving Sexy Women then Scotland would win!!

Well done Argentina, well done,a fantastic 17-12 win over the Hosts France,Argentina showed the world of all sports and people in general how to play as a team!!

If any sports team or any team had the spirit, humanity, confidence, fighting spirit and total belief in this team, then how fantastic that would be.

Saw the game in the Pub,and yes the match was that good, for a while i forgot the dukebox was there and the new Bar Babe, well kind of!

Well the 2 antipodean teams are kicking butt! The All Blacks beat Italy 76-14 and my boys beat Japan 90-3! (Or something like that) Wanted to sit up and watch more of the All Blacks/Italy match (mainly to perve at flyhalf Dan Carter, who I've got a bit of a crush on  ), but considering flanker (and captain) Richie McCaw scored within the 1st minute, I knew Italy would get flogged, so went to bed.

Well done to the Pumas, who now reach an all-time high of 4th in the IRB rankings, making it a 1-2-3-4 in the world rankings for Southern Hemisphere teams.

Group D really is the group of death. After Ireland's laboured, error-strewn display on Sunday evening qualification for the knockout stages will be a real uphill struggle.

I still think Ireland can get out of that group,i mean the pressure on France is now unreal.

As for Argentina, they have a great Nick Name, the Pumas, surely the best Nick name in International Rugby.

^Yeah, was a great game, though at times very difficult to watch. It's hard to see Ireland beating France (back on form after a huge victory over Namibia) and Argentina the way they're playing now...

Do not worry irishguy28,all the pressure will be on the French, take heart, look what Scotland did in the football, and do not forget the super cool luck of the Irish, which is overdue!

Yes Ireland can beat France, but it will be tough, certainly no confident bets either way!

^I don't doubt that Ireland have the ability to beat France; however, they seem lacking in self-belief at the moment. The 10,000 French in Stade Chaban Delmas on Sunday were enough to drown out the 30,000 Irish with their chanting for Georgia in the second half; what's it going to be like in front of a far greater partisan crowd at Stade de France on Friday night?

The momentum is now with France; both teams HAVE to win this game (while Ireland still might have an outside chance of progressing after a loss to France, France can not qualify if they lose to Ireland on Friday - assuming Argentina do not slip up against Namibia, which is very unlikely). With Ireland having struggled against the minnows of the pool, and with the French knowing that their necks are on the line, it would be hard to see anything other than a French victory on Friday night.

At least we should be guaranteed a good night out...

The French will beat Ireland for sure. I know my last prediction (France vs scotland in football) was wrong but this time, it's gonna be something else. The French now trust in their abilities to deliver great games.

Go France, Go Chabal !!!

Without being sarcastic, I really thought Ireland would play a better game. France was not reeally convincing though. It plays a good game but that surely won't be enough to challenge the all Blacks.

What about Scotland ? Why do they put all the top players out of the squad yesterday? Are they so frightened by Italy ?

^France v Ireland was a tortuous game to watch. Although they started brightly and had the lion's share of possession and territory in the first 20/30 minutes, they never really looked like scoring. And with the team going into a meltdown in the style of the Irish soccer team in Saipan in 2002, it looks like they may not even put up a decent game against Argentina on Sunday, when France need an Irish victory to avoid an encounter with NZ in Cardiff.

I didn't see the NZ-Scotland game, but 40-0 wasn't perhaps the trouncing that might have been expected by fielding an almost B team. And yes, the Scots have every reason to fear the game against Italy - the Scots lost to them in the Six Nations earlier this year, and Italy are currently ranked higher than Scotland (9 and 10 respectively in the current IRB rankings).

What a miserable World Cup this is turning out to be for the Home Nations!

 They wish it was 129-10!

Still sad that we got knocked out....3 words: bloody Jonny Wilkinson! Our nemesis in 2003 has come back to haunt us 4 years later...what's worse is that the Kiwis got knocked out too, after being odds on favourites to take out the trophy! :o *wonders whose heads are gonna roll this time after choking yet again*

That's it, I'm supporting Argentina...not gonna bother with South Africa, they've been dirty players in the past (I'm guessing Argentina might've been too, but considering their dream run thus far, I'm going for them instead)...

Mwahahahaha

No, it's a sad but simple fact that over the past 5 years, the greatest kicker in rugby has been Jonny Wilkinson (when he's not been injured) and he's just so amazing that England win when he plays. We normally lose when he doesn't though!

And he's been injured for most of the past 5 years!

What a phenomenal day of rugby. I haven't shouted for England since the last World Cup! Fantastic!!!

I hope Fiji and Scotland take heart today...

Scotland lost to Argentina because Scotland did not play until the last 10 minutes!

Having said that Argentina have played far better than Scotland overall this World Cup,far better!
