The Return Of The Spice Girls [Tour]

I am soo pissed off there will be no dvd ... and i went... go knows how the people who didnt get to see it will feel!! surely they have the footage from what the did for the screens

I think the girls live in their own bubble.

This tour has ended up being a big sucsess and that's all fair enough but it feels like they're not seeing that it's intenitonally making it the situation worse for all the people they cancelled on. It's like 'yeah loads of people came to see us but it was our special time and no one else can experience it anyway'.

Unless they plan to do a tour at some point to make up for it, I just feel bad for all the people that missed out & now they wont even get a DVD at least. It's all really weird that they won't release one. :-?

I think it's at least a gesture they could make.

Billboard have confirmed that "The Return Of The Spice Girls" tour is the second highest-grossing tour of the year so far!

AEG Live also produced the second-highest-grossing tour of the period, the Spice Girls reunion, which took in more than $70 million from 45 shows.

Do we know why there wont be a DVD? Did they mess up the filming of the footage or something? With a band built on the powers of marketing, this seems odd.

No! We don't know why and it REALLY sucks... and yeah I agree, you would have thought they'd want go give fans a souvenir and milk it for all it's worth!

I've just been watching some videos of the tour on YouTube! I'm still beyond annoyed that there wasn't a DVD release of the tour. I was lucky enough to go but I was so excited and it went by so quickly, a DVD would have been great to have. SUCH A SHAME!

U have said that you wanted the 'Return Of The Spice Girls' DVD to be released but we'd 'Have to ask the other girls' about it actually coming out. Does that mean one of the other Spice's is not OKing it being released to DVD and that's what stops it????

Hello! Why wasn't there ever a DVD release of the latest Spice Girls tour? And, why was it cut short? I had tickets to your show in Los Angeles but had a loss in the family and had to fly home. I was SO excited about the show in San Diego, but then the tour ended. Always wondered what the "punchline" was. Glad to see you and the girls are still kickin' it, anyway. My gay little world in Tennessee was so colorful and bright growing up because of you ladies!
i wish the dvd was released and i'm still hoping but my voice is just 1 of 5.

So they did fully record a show for a DVD release? Makes it even more annoying that they never released it. I don't think it was ever confirmed whether they'd shot footage for a DVD in the past?

Melanie C was asked about the DVD on Loose Women today.

She said:

The reason it's never been released is because it wasn't recorded for DVD. It was such an incredible show, we were so proud of it and we did have recordings each night of the screens because, you know, these big pop shows, you have all the big screens everywhere. But it was never recorded for a DVD, never lit properly and so that will never happen unfortunately. It's such a shame.

I'd be happy with the big screen footage!
