What I'd suggest, if you're agreeable:cavefan wrote:I'd actually be willing to try to complete country details for each chart, at least for the period from 1989 on, but how should I do best? Quote every of your charts and complete it in bold is the easiest way I think, but there's risk that the thread gets a bit hard to read with most charts double-posted.
And of course, as you said, this will take some time too, but that shouldn't be the problem...
I think that's a good idea, I will try to send you the country details for the first charts of 1989 and 1992 you have posted this evening, as I'm on the point of leaving now. Actually I'm not sure if I'll always be able to keep up with your rhythm of posting the chartsCZB wrote:1989-1991 - maybe you could just send me missing country details by pm and I could edit them in?
I'm willing to do this, even though my info is also not always complete for 1992 (for 1993 however it should be). But combined with your info (even though incomplete as well), it should be possible to get most of the 1992 charts right.CZB wrote:1992-1994 - there comes a point, very soonin which my notes become very incomplete. Perhaps you could then take over posting the weekly charts on that thread?
Thanks - now amended for this and your additional country details.cavefan wrote: You're almost right! It's Michael Meyerheim with Lykkehjulet.
Yes, but strictly speaking they're not the same, as this was the '88 remix.CZB wrote:"In the Air Tonight" had spent four weeks in the chart in 1988, but probably also a few in 1981!
We discussed on the German charts thread a while ago why it made a somewhat strange/unexpected disappearance in 1988.......cavefan wrote:Anyway, the Germans really seemed to love this song, as the original version made number 1 there in 1981, and the remix first went top 5 in September 88, and then re-entered at Number 3 half a year later, without any obvious reason!
I wondered if I was mis-remembering.......but I've found it now. It was coupled with "No Matter Who" in early 1997 ( 71 74 70 70 70 69 70 73 80 ).cavefan wrote:I can't think of any double-a-side-release of it however.
Thanks - I've corrected that now - and also added in the full country details from cavefan to two more of the charts.!frankie_85 wrote:CZB the italian artist that's charting since the 9-12 February week it's Fabio Concato not Cincatto!
Keep up the good work
The number 21 isCZB wrote:9th - 12th March 1989
I have no number 21 written down for this week - stand-in Metro Radio presenter Tim Smith played the nunber 22 before a break, the number 20 after a break, and didn't mention what was in between them! Anyone?
Thanks - that was originally almost my guess back at the time, but I realised it had taken a dive in Ireland, and I didn't know it had charted in Belgium. I didn't have any "last week" position from Metro Radio the following week either. I have now amended this, and added in your country details to yeaterday's post.cavefan wrote: The number 21 is
SAMANTHA FOX - I ONLY WANNA BE WITH YOU (B/NL)
According to some of my earliest notes from SR1, it didn't reenter (but actually climbed) the following week.
