i emptied 2 packs of tissues.

I think DH is one of the 10 best TV shows that have ever been produced.. but shows like LOST and Six Feet Under still top it. But DH equals all female casts such as Sex and the City..

I know that. I just don't understand the significance of that.

No offense...but did Wayne post that on the wrong thread? Because this is Unpopular Opinion thread...

The Irrelevant Thought Thread is here.

I disagree. SATC in its peak was better than DH, and SATC also went off right at the perfect time IMO, DH probably ran on 2-3 years too long. I just felt like the girls on SATC had more of a bond than the DH women did... as evidenced by the end of the finale where they all drift apart and live their own lives, whereas the four from SATC remain best friends despite their lives venturing in different paths.

Just regarding the convo on the last page, A Clockwork Orange was one of the most bizarre, twisted films I've ever seen, but it was really well done. It didn't love it per-se, but it was a great film.

2001 on the other hand, I got forced to watch that at school when I was 10 years old, of course I thought it was boring! Haven't seen it since... and that was in 2001

Although I have watched just few episodes of both series -well, still many more of S&C than of DH , I'll agree on that.

FYI, when they tried to launch DH in Greece, it was a total flop. One reasoning- maybe the most significant- critics gave for that was that the average Greek could not connect to the way the characters were presented at all.

2001 *is* boring as hell, but it's a technological achievement. For a movie made 45 years ago it still looks new. It does get better on repeat views. It is sluggish but it's beautiful.

Surprised school would show that to 10 year olds... not that it's "inappropriate" in any way, but it's so slow and everything 10 year olds would hate

SATC is unbelievable. SJP cannot be getting that much action on planet Earth from heterosexual human males.

2001... is so boring. I saw it last year, and I was like, WTF is this mess!
There were some parts that were so beautiful, though. I want to watch that overrated mess at least once more before I die.

I don't do drugs, but I have heard that 2001 is better under certain substances... it was a huge hit with the hippie generation for a reason

Especially the big 15 minute sequence near the end where Keir Dullea (who was incredibly hot in the 1960s) is floating in space and it's all acid-trippy.

don't you dare come for queen Sarah's wig.

I love Sarah Jessica Parker, she is one of the most beautiful and most talented actresses ever. She is like a chanel costume - never out of style and never boring.
