Go my Tasman neighbours - New Zealand have made it into the World Cup for the first time since 1982.

This time that's ok, Portugal will be there 8-)

Congrats to all teams which made it, except France considering the way of it to occur.

Really sad news for Ireland after being unfairly knocked out!

Ireland was robbed.
But this is football and it's safer to believe that "accidents happen" though there is no insurance for cases like that.

Henry should be banned from playing in the World Cup. When are FIFA and UEFA going to finally start cracking down on the cheats in this game? Unfortunately it won't happen though as the people who run the game are completely corrupt themselves.

You should have seen the mania that happened over here with that

Finally people were talking about football instead of rugby for once (which I can't stand).

They got the biggest ever crowd for a football game in NZ for the NZ vs Bahrain game, over 50,000 people! Considering football isn't huge here, that's MASSIVE :o

I know, I watched Sky News NZ, was amazed it took over rugby for once (considering how rugby's practically a religion in your fair country)! Same kind of hysteria happened here in 2006 when we qualified, didn't happen so much this time but we were still proud to have made it for the 2nd time in a row.

And yes, France shouldn't have qualified at all, stupid ref for not seeing it and Thierry Henry for being a cheat. And stupid Sepp Blatter and his love of French football, shame on FIFA for not organising a re-match. Can't believe one of the French football people for gloating about it....

Group A: South Africa, Mexico, Uruguay, France
Group B: Argentina, Nigeria, South Korea, Greece
Group C: ENGLAND, United States, Algeria, Slovenia
Group D: Germany, Australia, Serbia, Ghana
Group E: Netherlands, Denmark, Japan, Cameroon
Group F: Italy, Paraguay, New Zealand, Slovakia
Group G: Brazil, North Korea, Ivory Coast, Portugal
Group H: Spain, Switzerland, Honduras, Chile

Easy group for England on paper....

I think Group G have the hardest draw, Brazil, Portugal AND the 'surprise package' Ivory Coast.

I think England have a very decent draw. Was a bit worried when USA came out, but the other two are winnable, easily.

I think England have the easiest group there, by far. Should be a doddle...I'd be shocked if we didn't make it to the last 16.

It doesn't matter what group NZ ended up in, we're not going any further then the first matches

I mean we got the defending champions!

Brazil's group is the hardest :o

Also Spain is gonna breeze though, they got the easiest draw definitely.

I'm not sure who's gonna win, but Mexico is the dark horse. They'll definitely beat South Africa (SA is below NZ in the world rankings) and Uruguay but France will be a challenge, hmm.

Portugal will have an hard time to get into quarters yet. Facing Ivory Coast and Brazil is really not as easy task obviously, but even if they end qualified, ending at 2 behind Brazil, they will have to face Spain is the following game!

Or let say, Portugal has to beat Ivory Coast, then has to beat or Brazil or Spain, to have a chance of being on quarters. Ouch!

I am happy with England's draw - we have no excuses to not qualify from that group.

Indeed, have faith!

We've drawn a fairly tough group (then again we drew a tough group last WC), but hopefully we'll get through to the quarters...and not get completely dudded in those quarters like we did last time.

Real Madrid Portuguese defender Pepe is likely OUT for the World Cup :(

I always hate seeing deserving players being injured for that kind of competition!

African team can make a big surprise.
Also I hope New Zealand will reach the playoff stage.
Concerning the final outcome, we may see the mightest touch of Sepp Blatter and Switzerland winning the competition.
Lately football has become a really suspicious sport raising lots of questions concerning fixed matches.
