Such a shame this isn't doing as well as originally hoped in the UK. I feel it's slightly disappointing after the amazing Womanizer, but F U C K Me should reignite interest and probably be a bigger success.

Any idea on sales of this so far?

It is quite gutting that my favourite from the album isn't performing as well as it should.
But I do remember seeing the video on telly in December, so it's been lingering and therefore been unable to gain momentum becuase people are already tiring of it. Should have been out a few weeks ago.

Bring on Amy.

I expected this to reach top 5 in the UK.
However, I must admit it's not as good as 'Womanizer' :P

I miss the days when she was consistently Top 10 but I suppose with her number of singles a Top 20 record is not to be sniffed at.

"If U Seek Amy" will go Top 10 easy, it's a lot more instant than "Circus" thanks to the "dum-dum-dum dum-dum dum-dum-dum" hook.

As much as i like Womanizer I think this is better in quality (song + video) What a shame...

It's been hanging around too long. A real damn shame it won't even go Top 10. :(

Still at #15 today.

The chart position doesn't matter really, it's sold nearly as much as Gimme More, Me Against The Music, Overprotected and I'm Not A Girl...which were all top 5 hits.

That's why I hate the idea of releasing a song digitally months before, then release it physically, Jive is STUPID, this song is so top 3.

Even still, it won't be classed as a hit of hers because of its position. Hopefully it'll carve out some longevity.

It must be so difficult for record labels to know when to time releases. I guess they were hoping for gradual build up....if they released it too soon it wouldnt have been over radio/tv & might have bombed anyway.
MJ - the originator - you will be missed. :'(

Disappointing to see it underperforming. But it's the record company's own fault. The video premiere was way too soon (or the physical release way too late). Atleast the sales are good.

But the market was totally different. At that time, singles sales were lower than today.
