No Title yet. Just seen an interview from MTV. Usher said top of 09. Im guessing latest in April should be release date. Seems so early to talk about it with nothing really confirmed and still touring.

I know I just hope it isnt rushed. Just released Here I Stand in May. What 6 months ago. :o If he releases everything as planned it wont even make a full year. That has to be the fastest album release then previous one in history. Lol. And not a re-release album.

Music Of The Sun = August '05
A Girl LIke Me = April '06
GGGB = June '07

this Usher situation reminds me more of Janet than Rihanna, though...instead of taking time off after an album that underperforms, they just rush right into the next release (a la Janet with Damita Jo, 20 Y.O., and Discipline)

I was thinking same thing. Just relax. I so hope he delivers on this album. Although I liked Here I Stand just not as ultimate as Confessions.

I hope he includes That Girl Right There with Ludacris - it has the potential to be a US #1 easily.

I hope he does work with JD.
It's a great idea in theory to follow up an under-performing album so quickly - Discipline is definitely a good template to follow (hopefully finishing with a better album though).

I really hope he WONT work with JD on this album.
yeah I know right, I felt "Best Thing" & "Somethin' Special" sounded like leftover tracks ; along with "Last Kiss" & "Thanx for Nothin" from Mariah's E=MC2 earlier dis year.

Its clear jermaine dupri is not relevant. & stargates played out kinda also.

Usher just needs some Polow Da Don, Danja, Tricky-Stewart/The-Dream, & Bangladesh.

I'm aware I'm in a minority with this, but I honestly think the songs you listed there are amongst the strongest from their respective albums.

I totally agree with everything u said leftover tracks and the producers etc..

Although Usher & JD have/had chemistry i think its really time for him to move on and try new things if he wants to be successful again.

Best Thing & Thanks 4 Nothin' have strong lyrics and vocals. Both are somewhat standouts.

But "Something Special" and "Last Kiss" are FAR from standouts. And I agree that they sound like typical leftover JD.

Well yeah, they probably are verging into 'filler' territory, but they still stand out for sounding so well-crafted compared to many of the other tracks. He gets so much flak (albeit much of it is deserved) but not many producers pay such attention to detail as JD does when he's working with an artist he cares about i.e. Usher, Mariah.
