No it wasn't that it's just that I think Beyonce & Adele are such an unlikely pairing and I don't think it'd work!

Id love that duet i asked that because last year there were rumors about beyonce going into studio with Adele while she was in London during her tour. so i want to know if that is true and did something came out from that sessions. And I think that duet could work really good Beyonce is very versatile and unexpected collaborations always work well :D

Thinking maybe its time to slowly bring my self out of hiding. I’ve been from Malibu to Kensal Rise over the past year and a bit, settling in wooden garages, renovated tuck shops, basements and err… bob dylans old tour bus, writing and singing till my heart felt like it was going to pop out my chest and start beating me up! I spent most of my spare time discovering Wanda Jackson, playing with my dog or learning to cook, briefly rekindled my on and off relationship with gin and tonic! And also had a go at learning to drive. The latter two didn’t work out as well as I’d hoped! But it was fun while it lasted.

I had a great time in Malibu, it was all a bit overwhelming getting to work with such amazing people who just ooze greatness. It was like living with my fantasy family for a month or something. I got sun burnt a lot, and looked like a typical brit abroad of course. The London leg of it was just as incredible, it was so nice to be home and hop between the studio and my sofa! Anyhow it’s all done now, not much longer to go. I’m really excited to get back to it all again. It was mind blowing last time, so much so that most of it was a blur and not much of it ever sunk in. At least this time I know roughly what to expect so hopefully ill be able to enjoy whatever happens as it happens.

Nicki Minaj is my new Vitamin C, she’s out of this world I love her.

Same goes for The XX.

Plus I’m really excited by Jai Paul too, check him out.

Has anyone got the Carole King and James Taylor record live from The Troubadour? Its such a treat, if you haven’t heard it you must! Also im sure everyone’s seen it already, but how ridiculously amazing was Kanye West’ performance on SNL? I forgot to breath while I was watching it!

Heres some lovely pictures of Wanda Jackson that I love!

All her songs are great, my favourite is Funnel Of Love

Also found this picture of my favourite, etta james. I think that doglet is a wire haired dachshund no? woop woop!!

Talking of dachshunds, Louie is writing his blog so youll be hearing from him soon!
Til next time

Adele is set to return early 2011 with the release of her eagerly anticipated new single and album.

“Rolling In The Deep” will be the first single, released on Sunday January 16th (UK). Written and produced by Adele and award winning British producer Paul Epworth, it’s a “dark bluesy gospel disco tune” according to Adele herself.

Adele’s new album “21” is set to be released on Monday January 24th (UK) & Tuesday February 22nd (USA/CAN). About its release she says “I’m very excited, nervous, eager, anxious but chuffed to announce my new album! It’s taken a while and it knocked me for six when writing it. It’s different from “19”, it’s about the same things but in a different light. I deal with things differently now. I’m more patient, more honest, more forgiving and more aware of my own flaws, habits and principles. Something that comes with age I think. So fittingly this record is called “21”. The whole reason I called my first album “19” was about cataloging what happened to me then and who I was then, like a photo album you see the progression and changes in a person throughout the years”.

Most of the album was made in Malibu with the legendary Rick Rubin (Johnny Cash, Jay Z, Red Hot Chilli Peppers) and back in Kensal Rise in London with Paul Epworth (Plan B, Bloc Party, Florence). Adele cites Wanda Jackson, Yvonne Fair, Andrew Bird, Mary J Blige, Mos Def, Elbow, Tom Waits and Kanye West amongst others as key influences on “21”.
I’m very excited, nervous, eager, anxious but chuffed to announce my new album! It’s taken a while and it knocked me for six when writing it. It’s different from 19, it’s about the same things but in a different light. I deal with things differently now. I’m more patient, more honest, more forgiving and more aware of my own flaws, habits and principles. Something that comes with age I think. So fittingly this record is called 21. Everyday something happens that affects me, whether it be relationships, events, something I hear, something I see or something I feel. All of which is helping define me and turning me in to who I’m becoming. The whole reason I called my first album 19 was about cataloging what happened to me then and who I was then, like a photo album you see the progression and changes in a person throughout the years. I tried to think of other album titles but couldn’t come up with anything that represented the album properly, I kept swerving 21 thinking it was obvious. But why not be obvious?

I discovered lots of artists I’d never heard of, particularly Wanda Jackson, Allison Krauss, Yvonne Fair, Andrew Bird, Neko Case, Lady Antebellum and Steel Drivers who I fell in love with. Then I delved in to more from artists I’ve loved forever – Mary J Blige, Kanye West, Elbow, Mos Def, Alanis Morissette, Tom Waits and Sinead O’Connor. There’s something in every single one of these artists that has really really inspired 21.

So it is what it is! I cant wait for you to start hearing pieces of it!

Lots of love
Adele x

I have fallen madly in love with Adele. I adore her voice and the passion she has and her ability to convey the emotion in a song. I haven't been this obsessed with a singer since Mariah so I really do hold her in high regard. Her voice is very special.

I just wanted to say, that although I've not really got into Adele's music like everyone else as much this time around, her version of Cheryl's "Promise This" is incredible. You know it makes me think how many fantastic songs never achieve their true potential because they're sang by the wrong person or arranged badly, Adele showed how great this song could be, lyrically this song is stunning, I never noticed this from listening to Cheryl's version. Good Girl!

Yeah, that's her best song on 19 along with Hometown Glory. But there are tons of songs on 21 that beat Cold Shoulder.

I would like to see a duet between her and Joss Stone. I don't think Joss is as relevant as Adele, but both would make the song great. Joss is able to sing almost anything, I believe. When it comes to Adele-I think she has a smoother voice. Like them both. I will be happy to see them on one stage :D
