Last.FM keeps track of all the songs you play on iTunes/Windows Media player etc... and you can use it to see which artists/songs you've been playing the most in the last 7 days/month/year/all-time etc. Oh and top of that you can also use it as a social networking site and meet new people with similar music taste to you.

I find it's not always that accurate though for some reason. For example according to Last.FM I've played Darren Hayes - Who Would Have Thought 152 times but on my iTunes it's actually 223.

oh, thanx I'll download it now, since I always wanted a weekly chart

and I played a songs from my library on last.fm but the play counts on itunes didn't increase?!

lol I actually listen a LOT to indie bands, but I don't own full albums so the plays don't get too high because I only have random songs from soundtracks!

but I agree I'm more into female artists, but I like these males though:
Justin timberlake, Enrique iglesias,Jason mraz, Timbaland and a couple of bands like the killers, coldplay, hoobastank, fall out boy, green day <3<3<3 , good charlotte

problem already

I have p!nk as pink so on last.fm I saw a band, anyway I changed her name on my itunes to P!nk but on last.fm it's still pink and when I play her song on itunes as p!nk on L.fm it counts as a new artist

can I fix this?!

since you're a new member, delete ur account and sign up again [which means that lastfm will track your iTunes library to your profile and Pink will appear as P!nk]

Please note that you can only import your plays only once from one of the three supported media players, and as this is currently considered a feature for new users, it’s not fully supported for reset profiles.
