The most recent update, is from 2010.

The album sales have HARDLY changed.

But I reckon, you could get a decent 5m additional sales from her pre-Femme catalog in that time frame.

Hasn't Baby One More Time single sold 8-9million copies worldwide?

I'm sure It's not anything around 6million at all.
We can't flat her sale but please do not underestimate it.

according to the BBC, it has.

The 100 million albums are shipped probably. And if fans of other artists (that I ain't mentioning) pretend shipments are sales, why can't we do the same?

I believe, however, that 100 million is too much.
But I do think she sold close to 200 million records.

I don't deal with under-estimations.

And AnnDroid - she has NOT sold 100m albums.

She hasn't sold remotely near 100m albums.

And 200m records? Are you kidding me with this sh!t?!

I don't know who's worse - the Britney fans, the Rihanna fans, or the Beyonce fans.

I think it's safe to say she has sold +180million records

Anndroid said she's shipped 100million album, not sold. And I believe that she's sold close to 100million single too (Maybe around 90million singles according to some sources at ATRL).

Well why don't you break it all down - and you'll seen that you're very much deluded and ill informed sources are spouting nothing but uneducated guesses.

As for the shipments figure, that's actually what my figures are concerned with - there is no way in this world, that Britney has shipped anywhere remotely close to 100m.

Impossible.

I never said she sold 100 million albums. And if you read my post, in the last part I said 100 million was too much.

Anyway, we have confirmed sales of her first four albums (25m, 20m, 12m, and 10m according to britneyspears.com and livenation). We have BBC stating BOMT single sold 8 million. We have Circus at 5.5 million. We also have US numbers, Korean numbers, and UK numbers.

It's more than 150 million records for sure.

But Wayne, I'm not criticising your work. Please understand that. Your contribution is very appreciated and I really hope you update your estimations soon.

And I also hope team Britney states her real worth and real record sales instead of releasing a compilation album every six months.

For example, Circus sold 5.5 million in a year WW (according to the IFPI report)

I'm sure she has passed 150 million records
I know full well it doesn't include mastertones - it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a comprehensive list of mastertones for 99% of most artists and outside of the top 20 selling singles of the year, we know hardly anything [though certifications can tell us something, about some songs, in some countries].

So therefore, I didn't hazard a guess.
so, you cannot say she has not sold 150 million records, cuz the record is everything combined

it should call only album and single sale

50 million singles sold only?

30 million digital tracks in the USA only.
It HAS to be much more than 50 million.

LiveNation says it sold 10 million. I didn't. Real or not, it's the only source we got. Maybe it's shipments.

According to Mediatraffic

Oops!... I Did It Again 20 million
Britney 10 million
In The Zone 7 million
...Baby One more Time 7 million (Since 2000) Around 23 million total

Without GH:MP, Blackout, Circus and FF the total sales are: 60 million albums sold worldwide

Are you serious? The numbers reported by britneyspears.com or livenation are overestimated.
Mediatraffic isn't a very confiable resource but... is the only thing that we have to estimate the real sales :S

Mediatraffic isn't really "reliable" when you have numbers from her official website and livenation. We don't know how much those albums have really sold.
