Earlier I went to dinner at a Cajun-inspired restaurant, and right after I walked in, "Good Boys" came on. I was really pleasantly surprised to hear this because that song went nowhere in the US except for the dance chart, and almost never do you hear anything that came after Rapture by them (even Maria is pretty rare to come across these days) on the radio or in any establishments.

I hear only 'No Exit' and 'Atomic'.
I want to buy first six Blondie's albums. (In Russia, all Blondie's albums was re-realised)

While legions of young boys in late 70s longed to be with Debbie Harry, just as many girls wanted to be like her - sexy but not exploited, feminine but not fragile.

'Atomic'- it's fantastic, great compilation.

All UK #1 Singles - GREAT!!
'Denis' - only UK #2, but it's real hit.
(I'm Always Touched by Your) Presence, Dear - Diamond
'Island of Lost Souls' - Planitum

Full impression:
Number of Real Hits: 10 - 11
Only 2 bad tracks: Rapture, War Child
Heidi Range - Change Your Wicked Ways

Rapture and War Child are great songs. I think in that compilation the first 10 songs are all fab (except The Tide Is High). After that One Way Or Another is the only song which is as fab as the 10 first and War Child is pretty good too. The remixes at the end are especially bad.

I'll be predictable here and vote for Parallel Lines

'Rip Her To Shreds' - my favourite track on this week.

What about solo Debbie's albums? Also good?

Deborah Harry solo is great, they sound really 80s-90s and is more poppy than her time with Blondie.

Just discovered this amazing early live footage from 1975! An unreleased song called A Girl Should Know Better, from CBGB's on Debbie's 30th birthday (dressed like a teenage schoolgirl!): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bM3Kq0PtDrM&feature=plcp

Oh my days! She does look a bit like Kirsten Dunst too - so if that film ever does get made... :o

Check the new music Blondie thread for an amazing Panic Of Girls outtake: http://www.ukmix.org/forums/viewtopic.p ... 15#3734615

It didn't really sell the album either.

Which is a shame considering it's at least half full of excellent pop tunes.

Yes and I love it! I posted about it in the General Blondie/Debbie Discussion Thread

Where's that Blondie/Debbie countdown that you promised you'd do after digesting Panic of Girls? :)

Oh. Erm... shortly. I have two Survivors to sort out before that!

Banned Songs/ Vintage Pop Videos (pre-MTV).
Blondie will feature in both. :D

Island Of Lost Souls - BBC Radio banned it from daytime play during the Falklands War. Though no reference for this seems to exist.
