Don't feel bad, IT ISN'T THAT GOOD. It's where she really grew as a songwriter and a conceptual artist but a lot of the songs are more than dreary and lack any sort of real MELODY.

I do very much like these songs off of HFOS:

"Who Let in the Rain?"
"Sally's Pigeons"
"Like I Used to"
"Hat Full of Stars"

the rest ranges from quite poor to just average.

In fact the "Who Let in the Rain?" b-side entitled "COLD" is better than half of the songs on the album....

I really love 'Hat Full Of Stars', definitely one of her best! That's What I Think is probably my favourite Cyndi single. But you're right, Cold is better than most of the songs on the album

I wish they would just release a second PROPER greatest hits and not these cheap, budget GH that don't ever go anywhere.

I think something like this would do well if promoted and given support by the label:

The Very Best of Cyndi Lauper

1. Girls Just Want to Have Fun
2. Money Changes Everything
3. You Don't Know
4. Time After Time
5. Who Let in the Rain
6. That's What I Think
7. True Colors
8. Goonies 'R' Good Enough
9. Into the Nightlife
10. Change of Heart
11. Hole in My Heart
12. What's Going on
13. She Bop
14. All Through the Night
15. At Last
16. Unhook the Stars
17. I Drove All Night
18. Shine
19. Hey Now (GJWTHF)

That's an awful photo but it's not such a big deal she just had a chemical peel and she's not allowed to put any make-up on for a little while.

I love Cyndi but some of the comments I read elsewhere were hilarious. Someone said she looked like their dead grandmother... the way she looks NOW

I wish Cyndi would return to her pop and/or dance roots. Not feeling the love for her jazz album. She is amazing, still producing music since her fantastic debut in 1983!

:o Never saw that photo until now.

Well I've been listening a lot to Bring Ya to The Brink (2008) lately. She needs to do another pop album. Memphis Blues is ok. But not what we want from Cyndi.

I hope Cyndi's better now...

I just saw The Goonies for the first time since I was a little boy today (I did some babysitting) and it re-ignited the love I had for Cyndi's music.

What's your top five favorite songs from Cyndi...

1. Time After Time
2. When You Were Mine (IMO she owns the song not Prince, I know its an unpopular opinion, but I like his version too, but she makes the song epic)
3. I Drove All Night
4. Change Of Heart
5. You Don't Know

2. Rain On Me
3. Echo
4. Shine
5. Who Let In The Rain

Hard to choose, I'd really need a top 15.
