Nadine Coyle

From Perez...

British supergroup Girls Aloud are definitely not breaking up. They recently signed a deal to release THREE more albums.

However, a few of the Girls are going to venture outside the safety of Aloud and attempt to go solo.

Chreryl Cole was the first to announce her ambitions to work on solo material.

Now, sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that Nadine Coyle - the "voice" of the group - is also gonna start on a solo album too!

"It's definitely happening," an insider tells us. "Nadine and her team have already been contacting producers and songwriters."

And, we're told, a lot of the recording will take place in Los Angeles, where Coyle has a home and lives a good amount of the time.

Yay!!!!!!!!

Nadine can truly sing and we think she has huge international potential!!!!

Can't wait!

Looks like Cheryl isn't the only bird flying solo.
I'm not surprised in one way casue Nadine has the vocals to go solo (I can see ALOT of ballads on her album) but in another way I am surprised caused she seems to really not enjoy the whole promo and behind the scenes business and media focus that comes from being one fifth of Girls Aloud. How's she going to go when it's all about her 100% of the time?
Oh well, we'll have to wait and hear some more news on this one I guess...

As you say, her album would be very ballad-oriented and a bit "meh". Where's Nicola's? She'd be the Emma Bunton one wouldn't she? Light poppy pleasantness.
Sarah would be "indie rock" like Appleton. :-?

It all seems pointless to me- they will go the same way as Spice Girls- diminishing returns until the next GA album- and they're not as distinctive alone. Another factor is the lack of Xenomania. Without them, they could be sunk.

IDK I think Nicola has something a lil dark inside her. She may pleasently surprise us with what she has to bring to the game. I think Nadine would LOVE a ballad on the album but I can see her cutting loose on some up tempos as well. I just want her heart to be in it if she does it (like I believe Cheryl's is).

YES! Thank God for this. :D Instead of ballads, I think she'll keep closest to the Xenomania sound. It'll be cool if she forms a band as a side project though.

I'm looking forward to Nadine's a lot more than I am Cheryl's. Nadine's just amazing - she makes me wanna like all Irish people because I assume they'll be like her.

I would love a Kimbola album, full of tracks like 'Memory of You' and 'Swinging London Town'. It would be AMAZING. 8-)

I believe that they're taking a break for a year to do their own stuff, but they WILL reunite afterwards as they have signed a three-album deal with Fascination.

I can't see her selling 1.2 million in the u.k, cheryl would have more chance. But nadine does have the better voice.

Cheryl will be over-exposed and people will be sick of the sight of her. She will sell more but Nadine has the voice to pull of the live performances and will come out of the whole thing with more credability.

She needs a track called "AAAAAA WASP!"
Nadine usually cuts sick on live performances vocally so i can see her blowing Cherly out of the water in that respect but Chezza can dance and just has a fierce stage presence that Nad's and her crazy hand movements don't.
I'm anticipating both of their first singles.

I'd imagine there'll be a cover of 'Fields of Gold' on there somewhere.

Well I think it depends what songs she releases, but like Tony said I find it hard to believe any will make much of a career

Nadine has confirmed:

- She is signed with EMI.
- She is writing all of her material.
- It is VERY different from Girls Aloud's sound.
