i wonder, if this could actually make it to the top 200 on Billboard. 8-)

the tracklist is indeed a bit more interesting by the inclusion of "rarer" versions of some of the tracks.

I can't believe that The Ballads actually went top 10.

I hope it enters the BB200! What are the chances of the album to debut at #1?

Greatest Hits has been certified 2xP in Australia (140.000 copies shipped).

It's a new accreditation, according to the Australian chart thread.

wiki says:

"Greatest Hits is one of only three albums to have featured in the ARIA Top 200 Digital Albums Chart in Australia every week since its introduction in 2007. The other two are Michael Jackson's Number Ones and Pink's I'm Not Dead."

Do they combine the sales of The Essential Mariah Carey & Greatest Hits together?

As for been on the ARIA digital album sales chart... i think its mainly because it's $9.99 on Itunes

but whatever, i still take the 2X Platinum certification :D
but i believe Merry Christmas may be due for new accreditation

I have it at 8.943m, with a couple of Asian countries and most of South America missing - ~ 9.25m overall I'd say.

"The Essential" out today in the US, so where do you guys think this will chart? as usual, I've heard it's not very easy to find in stores even cuz it's not a big release, but I'm just hoping for a Top 200 debut, praying for a Top 100 and wishing a Top 50

#100 if she's lucky... such an innecesary and repetitive collection
At least they should have released a collection that covers both decades, 1990s and 2000's. That would have been a little more interesting and complete.

Yeah, I know the thing about record labels, Sony, blah blah blah.... :-?

I have 6 of her albums now. There are only 2 music stores here. It's so hard to look for her albums.
