Call Me Maybe, Part of Me, Talk That Talk and Whip It

its a shame no one else likes Laserlight - I have an inkling it will be in next week's UKMIX parade, as my chart comes out tonight (sh don't tell anyone :wink:

)

as I said, I find it funny how this chart gets posted with my chart from last Sunday, and then I post my own chart 5 hours after :lol:

(I'm also glad you didn't use the midweek update - I know people who would :roll:

)

There have already been fifty-five personal charts updated this week (some of them more than once!), which is close to the all-time record. So we could see quite a shake-up of the UKmixParade later on tonight.

The early indications are that both Calvin Harris and Carrie Underwood have a good chance of re-entering inside the top thirty, while there could be a couple of new entries further down for Marina and the Diamonds. However, although they currently appear in more of our top fives than any other track with "Primadonna", that might not even be enough for it to match its previous number three peak! There are some stronger challengers to replace Fun featuring Janelle Monae at the top - including one that has an unprecedentedly strange combination of chart placings at the moment.....

I have a lot of work to do for most of the rest of the day - but hopefully I should be back online around eight hours from now, to make any changes necessary to reflect further new chart updates posted by then. So there's still plenty of time for your votes to make a difference! With a bit of luck, the new UKmixParade will appear as usual on the stroke of midnight.....

I do really appreciate enormous amount of work you taking into complying this chart., but i always wanted to ask if you dont have better things to do on saturday night; I am about to go out; but easily I could visit my family, meet up with friends for a dinner; you seemed to be busy with complying charts every week.

I must admit, not much of it is actually done on the Saturday evening - I update a spreadsheet for new top fives from time to time during the week as they come in, aiming to be fairly up to date by the end of Friday evening. Then, while listening to one of the chart shows I regularly tune into on internet radio (the Radio Veronica Hit Dossier, on Saturday afternoons) I add the last few, work out the full chart at that point, prepare a draft commentary, with blanks for certain of the details to be added in later on, and post a short preview. Then it's just a case of returning much later, maybe an hour to an hour and a half before midnight, to finish it all off, making whatever amendments are necessary to the chart and the commentary as a result of the last new updates posted - leaving the last twenty to twenty-five minutes to properly format the posting. So that last stage has to start.....now!!!

Week 142

The personal chart of xypwftugpyqcss has not been posted for more than six weeks, so his votes now drop out - leaving seventy-nine top fives to be combined into this week's new UKmixParade. No less than sixty of them have been updated in the last seven days.....thirty-two have a number one that nobody else is currently charting......the number ones of eight contributors (CHB, cracklingbqq, crazycrazy, Haribo, jordi_89, josecharts, Tiger and Wardo) are their only representatives in the overall top eighty this week....while the entire top fives of seven others (BadGirl, GoodBoyGoneBad, Jack, marat2408, Plym, Spartan and tcatron565) can be found somewhere here.

Tulisa is expected to enter the UK chart at number one later today - but "Young" is only the third highest new entry in our forum chart. Meanwhile, seventeen other new entries include two by Marina and the Diamonds - but two of this week's four re-entries are much higher, inside the top thirty for Calvin Harris featuring Ne-Yo and Carrie Underwood. And thirty-five climbers include major upward moves for B.O.B., Alex Clare, One Direction, Sinead O'Connor, Emile Sande, Wisin and Yandel and.....Rihanna ! "Where Have You Been" is at number one in eight of our top fives - but nowhere at all in any of the others.....so, is forty points enough for her to take over the top spot from Fun featuring Janelle Monae?

Woohoo for the incredible jump for "Where Have You Been". It seems like the video has really re-ignited interest in the song. I'm also glad to see "Blown Away" debut. I'd love if it could climb into the Top 20 by next week. Thanks again for all your hard work, CZB!
