Ex Suga Keisha's sweet music

Keisha Buchanan is back on the showbiz scene with her first solo stuff since she left the Sugababes last September.
And from the sounds of it her new material has been coming along nicely - she's even producing some of the tracks.
Speaking at the launch of the new Sony NEX-5 camera she told me: "A lot of the tracks are very tough and are about finding myself as a person. It's about strength and being a survivor.
"I think a lot of people are going to be very surprised. It's great to know there's such a positive vibe and people are really excited to hear the tracks.
"The record label has just left me to my own devices and they've got real trust in me."
And what of the Sugababes split row? She reveals: "People may read things into the tracks when they come out but they are not about one specific person or The Sugababes. I wish them all the best."
Somehow I doubt she really means that!
I'm glad she hasn't gone straight to the "I got kicked out of my own group" line of promo... yet and it surprises me that she's been this diplomatic when she's always been one to speak her mind. And what of the Sugababes split row? That Mutya song was one of the songs I had in mind whilst writing my post, Loved it, though I did prefere the demo version. And yeah Keisha is being quite mature about this whole thing.AussiePopStar8 wrote:Although I never warmed to her in the Sugababes I'm really anticipating Keisha's solo album.I'm glad she hasn't gone straight to the "I got kicked out of my own group" line of promo... yet and it surprises me that she's been this diplomatic when she's always been one to speak her mind. And what of the Sugababes split row? In retrospect maybe the push out was a push foward to something she's always wanted but was afreaid to do.
Oh and btw Mutya's biggest mistake was not releasing "Wonderful", lol
Yes, I deleted it because (a) that sort of language is not appropriate (b) it appeared to be trolling and (c) you quoted pictures, which is also a problem in this forum in particular (see the rules thread). Your account will remain active, of course.San wrote:Was my post deleted because I called Keisha a two-legged whore??I thought the moderators had to be neutral in this boards.... Don't mind me I was kidding and I love Keisha...hopefully my account will still exist today after saying this..
Phew that was close! Now I understand the people in North KoreatopopMAC1 wrote: Your account will remain active, of course.
Exactly!tada wrote:i really look forward to this record, she was undoubtedly the best of any Sugababes members, now it's about time she released a very good solo and had a last laugh![]()

she must not end up as Mutya in terms of success, she should move to more r'n'b sound, something ala Alex Burke

I'm really hoping that they work together because it's something that people wouldn't expect.@keisha_buchanan Hey Keisha thats really sweet of you to mention us! thnkshey we have something we'd like to ask you (secret). email? X
Ooh I like the sound of them! That would be a great idea! I hope she gets accepted as a credible artist, I think if she'd have gone solo when Mutya did there would be no problem but the Babes went alot more commercial on the last few albums. But yeah I think she could be very diverse.Luv_Keisha wrote:Can we please move this thread to the Pop forum?
Keisha recently tweeted that she's slowly becoming a fan of Laurel Collective (a six piece indie London band). One of the members from the band stated on their blog that they'd be open to the idea of collaborating with the ex-Sugababe.
Now the band has reached out to Keisha.I'm really hoping that they work together because it's something that people wouldn't expect.@keisha_buchanan Hey Keisha thats really sweet of you to mention us! thnkshey we have something we'd like to ask you (secret). email? X

I don't think credibility will be an issue for Keisha because the amount of press that suggested that the legacy of the group were no more. Also, many people think that the group's sales dried up once she left.naughtynae wrote:Ooh I like the sound of them! That would be a great idea!
