She should realise that there's just no interest in her at the moment, anything she'd release would bomb at this point I'm afraid.

Please, no earlier than spring 2011.

Why does she insist on churning out another rushed album every time a previous one flops?

If everything went right last time, she'd currently be writing the followup to her hugely successful 'E=MC2' era, and the embarrasment of 'Memoirs' needent have happened.

Plus, if she releases in time for christmas, she'll just get lost in the rush again, wait until Spring Mariah.

It's getting annoying people all the time talking about breaks, breaks, breaks and breaks. Jesus Christ. Lady GaGa is releasing new material non-stop since 2008 and nobody says "Oh my God, Lady GaGa needs to take a break".

Talking about Carey's recreated songs, and the same producers, etc. I don't know how she broke a record in Brazil this year with a song like that. :lol:

Obviously, people are interested. Think about it, one time.

The album won't be release like tomorrow. :lol:

They are just working on it. Is that a crime?

I think Mariah is not stupid but rather a smart business woman. The next album will be more huge than E=MC2 and MOAIA. I gotta feeling that it'll be huge!

Yeah exactly they only had the first studio session last night so its not like its gonna be out tomorrow! She is essentially going to be out of the public eye until the promo begins for the album when ever than will be so she will have essentially a year out of public scrutiny anyway.

JMS is right, nobody says GAGA shud take a break or when beyonce(even though i love her)starts working on an album after just finishing the previous..

and back in the day mariah had an album out each year for a while...so it doesnt matter if the material is strong..

m sad that memoirs is over coz i like the album but m happy tht we wud get sumthin new..

its nt a xmas album which i can tell...and i am soooooooo happy!!!

And it's not even a comparison, I mean... Beyoncé and Lady Gaga ARE being successful. Mariah needs this break to regain interest.

I don't want to jinx this but this has been the first time since Mariah got married again that i feel she is doing something as MARIAH CAREY again and not M.C.C. or following the guidence of Nick. I feel like we have Mariah Carey back. I could be wrong but it feels like theres no nick sticking his head in so far!

Personally I don't give a flying fish about breaks and all, unless she's popping babies and whatnot. If she's just lazying around eating KFCs and playing with dolphins, she might as well starts working on a new album. Might not be good for her "sales" (if it flops), but at least she's keeping the lambs happy (if the material is good lol). Anyway, she JUST started working on a new album. I can see it being released next spring or something.

or a an album with quality vocals in 2010 or 2011..

i may be wrong but its not about breaks or time..its all bout the material and singles..beyonce bday was flopping till irreplacable came..so mariah just need killa material!!

There's a difference hear GaGa is actually putting out interesting fun stuff and plus she's a total whack job so that's y ppl are interested in her I mean please if u put the Fame(Monster) on and then listen to Memoirs straight after you'd fall a sleep

As much as I adored Memoirs, I think this album needs to be big for her. And I hope it is.

Everything Mariah does is gold for me, so I'm excited whether we get the new album in 6 months, a year or more.

I like the idea of her working with Jermaine Dupri again. 100% is one of the best songs from the last era and JD does a good job of bringing out Mariah's vocals.

I think they will take their time with the album, so by the time it comes out, it will seem like she has taken a break. Summer 2011 may be a good time for release - and that will have been 2 years since MOAIA.

I wouldn't call Merry Christmas a miss it's one of the best selling Xmas albums of all time and E=MC2 was not a miss IMO it got her 18th number 1 and it sold 2.5 million copies worldwide with just 1 hit single thts pretty gd IMO
