it´s difficult to say which pop female artist Mariah likes. She is very into SOUL, and R&B music. Aretha, Stevie, Patti etc. So doesn´t has any connection with success, but with the music segment

Also: Mariah may describe herself as a girly girl...

...but she has always been one of those girls who loved to chill with the fellas.

Mariah can be in a room full of her men (scrappy men at that) and be totally comfortable.

^Thank you as a fan of both I didn't see shade. People just want to start some type of war. No need to say bad things about Britney or Mariah for there is no beef. Lush that Britney comment was soooo rude and unnecessary. :roll:

I just read this, don't know if it's true or not:

Randy Jackson was on 106 and Park today and of course he talked about Mariah. I only caught a little of it but he said she has some really hot singles coming soon and a phenomenal album overall.

Aretha Franklin, Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Mary J Blige, Pink and Alicia Keys beg to differ. These are ridiculously successful female artists. What Mariah expects is for the younger artist to take the first step - to be respectful. She was painfully nice about all her seniors when she came along - and still is. She just expects that from the younger stars.

I don't think it's so much about waiting for the young artists to respect her...that's egotistical and Mariah's not about that.

I think it's more about their level of talent, the way they carry themselves and the music that they make.

Because there's a good chance that Mariah and many others is just very unimpressed with this generation.

And in more ways than one.

I know Whitney was.

K maybe I was a lil harsh but you do have to wonder if something is askew who those who take offence over what Mariah said...

She does like many successful females and is quite good friends with a lot of them, so don't know where that comes from.

Anyone with any taste in music or any real talent if their own quite frankly should be disgusted to see britney on x factor. I know I am. It's such a desperate move of Simons.
Anyway Mariah can say what she wants cause she's always classy anyway lol.

Btw, I've never asked this and am always curious but why does mariahs thread have over 2000 pages, and others don't have near that. Does everyone just come here to talk about everything?

Wouldn't mind normally but this should have been said before . We have been dangling on a piece of string for years now , all that needed to be said was Mariah has family now so Mariah is in no rush to get this album out. Anyway I've not clicked the link so I'm hoping it's been misunderstood .

And the word soon has been used since 2011 how longs a piece of string ! As longs as she and her family are happy that's most important.
