Hmmm That's not how I remembered it...Yet Beyonce who performed with Jhud back in 2007(at the Oscars) was able to overpower her within few secs into that duet performance.
Thought it was the other way around.

That vid is too much. The victory dance is the best...
Perhaps you need to re-watch the performance. Beyonce made her entrance into jhud's performance, belting a powerful F5 that basically drowned out Jhud's F5(mind you she was already belting before Bey came on). Plus we all know jhud didn't farewell with Listen(she couldn't do the vocal scales before the belt)TheAqua wrote:Hmmm That's not how I remembered it...Yet Beyonce who performed with Jhud back in 2007(at the Oscars) was able to overpower her within few secs into that duet performance.

Congrats Bey. Well deserved. That award was a joke.Dc4me wrote:Beyonce wins Billboard Award for Best R&B Album.
That's besides the point. Anybody who knows anything about the technically aspect of true vocal power, will tell you, resonance will always trump loudness. Xtina's strained screams would easily get overpowered by Beyonce's crisp, well supported, resonating belts.VoReason wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rh2Yxp6q2h0Rocksteady09 wrote:LMAOOOOOOOOOO! On what planet?!? xtina easily got drowned by Jhud on their Grammy performance last year.Yet Beyonce who performed with Jhud back in 2007(at the Oscars) was able to overpower her within few secs into that duet performance. For xtina to drown out Beyonce, she would have to have impeccable vocal control and strong resonance, which she clearly lacks and Beyonce has plenty of.VoReason wrote:No to Christina.. I know Bey is incredible, but Christina's voice would drown her.spiritboy wrote:I would love a "proper" collaboration with Alicia Keys, they have much more potential than that song.
I'm also OK for collaborations with Emeli Sande and Adele. A Christina collaboration would be fierce, if the song is good.
Beyonce's resonance and vibrato>>>>>>>>> Xtina strained vibrato-less screams
I didn't say Christina was a better singer. At all. They're both incredible. I said she would drown her - In MY opinion, she would lose on volume, which is what a duet with people of their calibre would become a war of.
Emile Sande would be incredible. GaGa again. No to Jessie J please.. Though I like her I must agree - she's very much sacrificing her artistry for hits (though they're catchy, sure).
LOVE LOVE LOVE her she is amazing

As Beyonce gears up for an electrifying return to the stage next week, her Revel showcase is shaping up to be a special night for Def Jam‘s new breakout star Luke James (pictured above).
Find out why after the jump…
Fresh from performing in front of Michelle Obama (and earning a standing ovation in the process), James has been hand-picked by the ‘Single Ladies’ singer to open her quad of comeback concerts (which kick off May 25th).
Now, of course, we could go on and on about how great Luke is. However, how about we show you…

It was rumoured that Beyonce was going to be in that movie I think it was called One Hit Wonders by the creator of Glee or something. But that was going to be a comedy but havn't heard anything about it since.robert989 wrote:edit: how amazing would it be if she stars in some comedy movie playing some character like she was actingright now some all black comedy in the vein of white chicks, boat trip, etc. something set in summery mood in some hood neighborhood
