Wow and it looks like she's shot a video as well! :o

See more pictures and read the article on Mirror.co.uk!

Many other blogs also report her miming a song on a motorbike, so it looks like it's really happening! :o The Mirror says she hasn't finished shooting the video yet.

Video footage from the shoot

EDIT: On the 2nd day of the video shoot, she ditched the motorbike for a whit car! See this picture or this one. (They're huge, that's why I can't put them here)

And finally, a rumour about the songwriters:
TIME BOMB

JOHN LOUIS BIANCANIELLO
KAREN POOLE
SAMUEL J WATTERS

Some people from the set are claiming on Kylie forums that the video contains scenes with kissing couples (but nothing like All the Lovers) and that everyone had to dance their tits off on the set, which means it's likely to be a fast-paced dance song. :D

Slightly disappointed. I read in the paper she was doing an album of reworkings of her old hits so i was disappointed to hear its just stripped, down orchestral versions :-( I wanted re-recorded, remixed versions. after seeing the pic of her in the leather jacket with a heart on it i kinda imagined a new video for a new version of Hand On Your Heart. doesn't look like i'm gonna get it! ah well...

^ The orchestral thing is only one project that might still happen, I mean, she surely wouldn't have recorded a bunch of re-worked hits at Abbey Road for nothing! But there have been rumours about a new pop/dance album for months now, and now it turned out to be (90%) true as well. :)

Kylie has just announced on Radio 2 that she's headlining for BBC Proms In The Park in London this September, and that her next album is released next year. :)

Nothing official, but a guy who's in the video (the one that drops the LPs in the short clips on YouTube) confirmed on a Kylie forum that it's indeed for a new single, so it's definitely happening, but he doesn't know anything about the release date.
HMV and some other online retailers are listing a Best Of Kylie Minogue CD for a June release, and some people assume that the new single is going to promote that collection (like it was with 'I Believe In You' for Ultimate Kylie, or with Britney's '3' for her singles collection).

Kylie.com wrote:THE BEST OF KYLIE MINOGUE, RELEASED THROUGH EMI ON JUNE 4

Image

EMI Catalogue will release ‘The Best of Kylie Minogue’ on June 4th. The album features 21 of the best known Kylie songs from her incredible 25-year career, on one disc. The tracks were chosen by the fans through extensive market research conducted by EMI late last year. 18 of the tracks were top 5 in the UK, including 5 number 1’s !

A Special Edition CD/DVD will also be made available, with the DVD featuring all the accompanying videos.

The tracklisting for ‘The Best of Kylie Minogue’ is:
Code: Select all
01: Can’t Get You Out Of My Head
02: Spinning Around
03: I Should Be So Lucky
04: Love At First Sight
05: In Your Eyes
06: Kids (with Robbie Williams)
07: Better The Devil You Know
08: All The Lovers
09: Give Me Just A Little More Time
10: Celebration
11: Slow
12: Red Blooded Woman
13: I Believe In You
14: On A Night Like This
15: Confide In Me
16: Get Outta My Way
17: The Loco-Motion
18: Tears On My Pillow
19: Wow
20: In My Arms
21: Never Too Late

So, I guess this is released to tie in with her Queen's Jubilee performance. Unfortunately, it has no new songs but the DVD may be worth it for those who don't own Ultimate Kylie. The cover art is quite nice but the tracklist is quite disappointing. I wonder when is she going to release the new single she's already shot a video for, though.

That tracklist is not my favorite. I would have liked:

1) I Should Be So Lucky
2) Hand on Your Heart
3) Better the Devil You Know
4) Step Back In Time
5) What Do I Have To Do?
6) Shocked
7) Confide In Me
8) Spinning Around
9) On A Night Like This
10) Your Disco Needs You
11) Can't Get You Out of My Head
12) In Your Eyes
13) Love At First Sight
14) Slow
15) Red Blooded Woman
16) I Believe In You
17) 2 Hearts
18) Wow
19) The One
20) All the Lovers
21) Get Outta My Way

Here's a question. What's everyone's thoughts about "Get Outta My Way"? Why don't you think it charted highly?

It could realistically be by far my favorite Kylie song. The video was amazing. I just don't understand why it didn't chart higher.

That's something I don't understand either. I mean, it's a killer song, one of the best Kylie singles in years, yet it's one of her lowest charting singles to date (even if it was #12 in the UK, its chart run in Australia was devastating). It may have been because of the long time between the single and the video release, I'm not sure. I'm glad that most fans and casual listeners still rank it among her best songs, though. :)

I also think that the GH setlist is a bit poor, by the way.

I became a fan of Kylie last year, and now I would probably put her as my second favorite artist behind Madonna. I am loving discovering all of this Kylie music, after my friend made me listen to her. I never got into Kylie because I never liked "Can't Get You Out of My Head" and in the US that was really (SADLY!) her only hit, so my first impression sort of just stayed with me.

As for "Get Outta My Way", it's just such a great song. Casual fans love it. Fans love it. I'm shocked at why it didn't do better? Do you think it's because most fans bought the Aphrodite CD and therefore not the single? Does anyone know if UK and Australian radio ignored? It seems tailor made for the UK.

Sad that there's no "Please Stay" and "2 Hearts"! I hope this is released in Asia as well, even if she has Kylie: The Hits CD+DVD available here.

Whoa, good news fellas, Kylie is going to appear on several shows in the upcoming weeks!

23/05/2012: Le Grand Journal
01/06/2012: Alan Carr: Chatty Man
02/06/2012: The Voice UK Final

The Canal+ website says she's talking about her new movie 'Holy Motors' on Le Grand Journal. However, it's no secret that she's performing on The Voice. No news about Alan Carr.

I wonder what is she performing on The Voice, though. Maybe the Best Of? :-?

I can only imagine she'll be promoting this Best Of... which I kind of wish she wasn't as it's a bit of a lacklustre, unnecessary collection. That said, if she's doing a medley of hits on these shows it'll be good to see.

It just turned out that Kylie did a song for the movie 'Holy Motors'!

“Who Were We?”
(Neil Hannon - Carax and Neil Hannon)
Performed by Kylie Minogue
Orchestrated and arranged by Andrew Skeet
(Orchestra: Berlin Music Ensemble)

Source

That means two new songs as she's already recorded one with Icelandic band Múm for the movie 'Jack and Diane'. :) I hope they're good!

'Time Bomb' might be the 'Tweet To Unlock' surprise for this month! :o If you check out the Kylie Tweet To Unlock page, it shows a picture of a bomb. :o So exciting!

If it happens then I'm pretty sure she's performing it on The Voice as well! #mybodyisready

This is what Kylie Minogue's facebook status was 11 hours ago!

LESS THAN 24 HOURS TO GO

Kylie is continuing K25, the celebration of her 25th year in music, with another gift to her fans tomorrow.

K25 kicked off in January, when Kylie made a specially recorded version of Finer Feelings available online. Since then Kylie has made a new exclusive video available to her fans on the 25th of each month and this month is no exception.

From 7am (UK time) fans need to tweet using the hashtag #KylieTimebomb.

Once 25,000 tweets have been received the new surprise gift will be unlocked.

I'm so excited, it's not even funny. :o
Slow down and dance with me....yeah....slow....
