The 'Rolling In The Deep' singer has apparently started writing a track for the upcoming Daniel Craig featuring film.

Adele is reportedly the front runner to write the theme song for the upcoming new James Bond movie Skyfall.

The 'Someone Like You' singer is top choice to land the celebrated feat according to Forbes.com and is currently working on a potential track for the film according to the publication.

An insider source told the website: "Adele and her writers are working on a song. We'll see how it turns out."

A new teaser trailer for “Skyfall” aka James Bond 23, is just out. And follows below. More importantly, I can tell you exclusively that Adele is the likely candidate to write and sing the theme song for the new movie.

That's not showing John Mayer at #1 - maybe because it's still on pre-order .

Nine posts down.
OK, thanks a lot!
Sounds like huge promo... I hope for No. 1 with 30-40k once it's broadcasted :D .
That's unrealistic to be honest (and I'm not underestimating Adele, I'm going to use previous Adele promo as evidence)
Last time LATRAH was aired on BBC 1, on the Easter holidays, the album got boosted from 16k to 28k. The audience figures there will be much higher than a channel 5 doc will achieve, and tbh a 1 hour no-break airing of Adele in concert is better promo than a potential dodgy ad-filled channel 5 doc.

Now, the doc will be good promo, but a better comparison would be Sat nights BBC 3 airing of LATRAH. BBC 3 regularly beats channel 5 prime time (last night for example), so it is likely that the boost the album gets this week could be similar to the boost it gets after the channel 5 doc (i.e. prob not above 20k)

Timmy94 wrote:@arab: Is there some upcoming promo which could push 21's sales in the UK :D ?
I mean it wouldn't be a must but it looks kinda strange to see 21 selling "normal" numbers, it has to return to superlatives again  !
If this were any other album, I'd say it's finally reaching its saturation point.

But let's wait and see. Still more than 200k to pass Oasis and we can't have it stop selling big before then! :P
Counting down the days until 21 outsells Morning Glory in the UK.
Mission complete on 29.12.2012 :)

Next week, 21 is likely to be No. 2 on the Billboard 200. The biggest debut of that week is John Mayer's album which is going to be No. 1, but the next biggest album could sell ~ 50k so 21 will be at No. 2 again 8-) .

Engelbert Humperdinck thinks Adele is one of the best singers ever.

The veteran crooner has a career spanning over 50 years, but is absolutely blown away by the 'Someone Like You' singer, and thinks she is one of the greatest he's ever heard.

He told radio station Magic 105.4: ''I like Adele as a singer myself, I think she is one of the best I've ever heard you know, so easy going and puts on a great performance.

''She's inspired so many people, I mean with her performance, her style of writing and everything. I mean she's stepped right out of the blue and hit every market there is around, so she's created a great deal of history in a very short space of time and deservedly so, she's very talented.''
