Yep but she's still @ No 2 and will see an increase due to the TV promo in early June.arab wrote:Ouch! That's a huge sales decrease for both 19 and 21Hope for 65-70k next week

I checked the list of the diamond-certified US albums (10m+);NorfolkScot wrote:Am I right in saying "21" the biggest selling album in the US by a UK female singer?
Another record then.phoenix83 wrote:I checked the list of the diamond-certified US albums (10m+);NorfolkScot wrote:Am I right in saying "21" the biggest selling album in the US by a UK female singer?

There isn't an album by a UK female singer so you're almost certainly right. Unless there is an album with ~9.5m sales which has narrowly failed to make diamond.
But essentially: yes.
Agree! Late August/early Sept sounds very rational. And if she sells 10mln copies in early Sept, she could hit 11 mark by the end of the yearBeHereNow1997 wrote:In my opinion, I think she will hit diamond in the USA (for shipped) in July. When in July? No idea, but she will get it by then. She only needs to get to like at least 9.6-9.7, for it to be certified diamond. As to when the album passes 10 million sold, I'd say by late August, early September.
Like they wouldn't know that 21 would surpass Come Away With Me somedayBeHereNow1997 wrote:^^^
Certified 11x platinum and sold 11 by the end of the year seems really really hard at the rate she'll sell after June, but if it does happen. Norah Jones fans won't be happy.
I wonder which sales landmark she will hit first:arab wrote:Agree! Late August/early Sept sounds very rational.
The hope would have to be that towards the end of the year there will more album buying going on, and because "rising water raises all boats" her sales will improve a bit along with the market in general.BeHereNow1997 wrote:^^^

actually you may be right.......if she keeps at current sales (13k) it will take until mid-September and we would expect a bit of a drop so might take a bit longer.arab wrote:If there's no an Olimpics effect, she'll pass Oasis in early/late October IMO
It's the biggest selling album ever by a female not from North America I believe.NorfolkScot wrote:Another record then.phoenix83 wrote:I checked the list of the diamond-certified US albums (10m+);NorfolkScot wrote:Am I right in saying "21" the biggest selling album in the US by a UK female singer?
