Good for her if she's managed to get one over on the media :D. The best bit about this - if it's true - is that she would have known she was pregnant when she said she would probably release a single at the end of the year and an album in two years, so there's no reason to think her plans have changed because of her pregnancy. Though, as Masson says, no Olympics - but I'm sure that was never happening anyway.

Thanks for this. I think that TV series featuring her music started today, so it will be interesting to see if there is any rise next week and beyond.

It looks true, and there are loads of press about it. Yeah... I don't think it was going to happen about the olympics.
Just hope there is a new song and hope it's the Bond theme.

If this is true (if) that's awesome! For her to have kept it private for that long. only Adele! I'm keeping my timeline of a new album out by end of 2013.
So:
2012
Her music will be featured in Olympics this summer.
Diamond certificate will be issued (for shipped sales) this summer.
She has recorded Bond Theme which will be released in fall.
Holidays, 21 will be re-released with new material. Or at least sales will increase with original.
2013
She will be at Grammys for RAH video where she will win long-form video and hopefully perform Bond Theme.
She will be at Academy Awards for Bond Theme, where she will perform and win an Oscar.
New album released by end of year.

Works for me!

Who else could have hidden their pregnancy from the world until 2 months before the baby's due?
Counting down the days until 21 outsells Morning Glory in the UK.

Can you please confirm how long 21 has spent in the top ten in Germany and if it holds the all-time record for most weeks in top ten by a solo artist. I found the link below and this suggests that the album Heintje (by Heintje!) held the record for solo artist with 64 weeks.

I believe 21 now holds this record so please confirm - we all want 21 to be confirmed as holding a German record! Thanks.

Well, according to Arab's chart run post from about a month ago, 21 had already spent 69 weeks in top ten. So it must be at 72 now.

I think then that must be a record for a solo artist in Germany...

Edit: and also - a record for a studio album - as it looks like the only albums which spent longer in the top ten were 2 film soundtracks and 2 Beatles greatest hits albums. If the stats in that link are correct.

Yes, it's true that 21 is the album by a solo artist that spent the longest time in the top 10. The previous record holder was Jacques Loussier with Play Bach Folge 1,2,3 und 4, which debuted in November 1962 (68 weeks).

Thanks!

Well there you go Shades.

Weird thought I had: when people who don't speak English think of the album "21", do you think of it as "twenty-one" or the number in your language ("vingt-et-un", "einundzwanzig" etc.)

It's Twenty-one. I have never ever ever heard ANYONE call it "Eenentwintig" unless they were joking, and I doubt anyone does, hehe :P
