Price cut to $4.73? If only they'd reduce 21 as well ...

EDIT: Price has gone back up to $9.99 now.
21 needs to be reduced soon - esp on itunes.

Looking at upcoming releases, next week would be the perfect time to lower 21 to $7.99 in US. Could get back to #1 actually.

That's great news.10 million sold only in Europe. Incredible.

Also good news about 19, I had been confused as at the end of last year it was awarded a 1xPlatinum, but at that stage it had already sold nearly 2 million in the UK alone! It seems like that's rectified now, and hopefully 4xPlatinum is attainable at some stage.

I don't think it would help at $7.99. Now 99 cents, yes.

99 cent-discounts don't help, most albums fail to reach sales of 60k+ or even the top 10 after this offer, therefore I don't think it's an effective promo to return to No. 1.
Well, people are saying that ITunes is stronger than Amazon, so maybe the thing would look differently if 21 was discounted on ITunes.

^^^ And it would have been 7th, as HDD suggested, if it weren't for the Bee Gees, who are 5th thanks to an Amazon deal .

Adele's 21 rebounds from #9 to #7 in its 76th week. Forty different albums have hit #1 since 21 entered the chart at #1 in February 2011. 21 has outlasted all but five of them (the albums at #1, #2, #3, #4 and #6 this week.) (By "outlasted," I mean it's still in the top 10 and they're not.)

So is it at 8, as per Billboard, or 7, as per Yahoo? Not that it really matters, as you say :P.

EDIT: It is at 8 - the 7 is a typo; further down the page it says Kidz Bop is 7th and 21 8th.

Bad move on the part of the label not to discount 21 in the UK this week. Plan B is number 1 in the midweeks and he sold 16k last week. So, only 10k might be needed to be 1 this week (also consider the fact that everybody is busy watching the Olympics).

Not without some form of promo/incentive. It'll need a 40%ish increase in sales to be number 1 and that's not going to happen for no reason.
