600days in Amazon UK top100 :D
Top 100 is easy for 21. Has it ever had a day out of the top ten during those 600? Can't be many if so. That's impressive.
I think it had 2days out of the top10 in December.

The top5 biggest selling albums in the US so far this year.

Rank - Sales - TITLE - Artist
01 - 3,808,000 - 21 - Adele
02 - 1,040,000 - UP ALL NIGHT - One Direction
It's close to sell 4 times the amount of her nearest rival :o
Just like last year with "Born this way"

By the way, "19" total sales seem underestimated by MEdiatraffic...
It has sold more than 4.5 million between US & UK only.
5.4 million worldwide is too low! This album has surpassed 6 million long time ago!

Exactly. Not even in the US. She'll be very lucky to reach 1 million there, no competition for "21".
Maybe her next album is something like Emancipation was for her... Just that that album was mainly successful in America and who knows maybe she can recover her 90s success in Europe? Not saying she will, but it could happen...
I'd love her to...but not gonna happen
That album was released when the industry relied on contemporary R&B and hip-hop music. Even you add the current album sales of Madonna, Celine and Mariah's upcoming 2012 albums, there's still no competition against 21.

19 ~5.42mln (+ ~300k outside top 40) -> so 5.7mln+

US+UK - 4.4mln+
France ~190k
Australia ~160k
Germany ~300k(?)
Canada - 100k+(?)
Netherlands ~400k(?)
Japan ~70k(including deluxe edition -> counted separately)
______________
~5.620.000 total

19's sales could stand @ 5.85-5.9mln IMO. It was not a big hit in other countries even after 21's release, but I might be wrong...

Even though I would love Celine to have a big selling album again, I know it's not going to happen and the same with Madonna and Mariah.

They are like U2 in sales now.

I wonder why they are holding back on reducing the price in the UK/US?

I think they still want to prove that an album can still sell without going down that road just to grab sales and make it look bigger - take TTT - it's on sale Pprice everywhere in the UK and in some stores down to £3, but it's sales are not much higher than 21s come the end of the week(+she got new singles in charts).

In Canada 19 was certified double platinum (200k) in May 2012
In Spain it's been certified platinum (80k) for a long time
In Ireland it was the 3rd biggest selling artist album of 2011 behind 21 and buble. Considering it's sales ratio compared to 21 is probably similar to that in the UK (2.1m:4.4m), and 21 has sold ~240k in Ireland, I would imagine 19's sales could be close to 100k there.

So if you adjust Canada and add Ireland/Spain to the above list, that makes a total of 5.9 million.
Then you have Belgium: ~30k, Italy: ~35k, Scandinavia: ~45k+, NZ: ~15k
That's another ~125k+ to add, which makes a total of 6.1 million.

And that's before adding the rest of the world.

What do you think Arab, does that seem reasonable?

I completely forgot bout its chart-run in Ireland. I think you're numbers are possible. So yes, 19 might have already crossed 6mlnth mark.

@rundmck: You shouldn't forget that before 21, 19 already was some kind of a hit in the UK (I think it was certified 2x P there), while in Ireland, it didn't do that well before 21 debuted.
Therefore while 21's sales are higher in Ireland, I assume 19's sales are bigger in the UK...

@Finland: WOW, that jump from No. 8 to No. 1 was unexpected :o ... I really wonder what happened there 8-) !

19 did do well in Ireland before 21 was released, spending it's first 2 weeks at no.3 and many subsequent weeks at the high end of the chart. Plus, it's post-21 run has been even more impressive in Ireland than in the UK. Therefore, I think a circa 100k prediction is very very plausible.
