Not album of the Decade, but could be album of the year.

1 million would be fantastic, but I think she has not the power of Taylor Swift or Lil Wayne for a first week like that. Same thing for +2 million WW.

Just 350k ? :-?
If her first single is #1, it would be very bad to sell less than 400k...

If the singles and videos that come from this album are great then this album will just keep on selling.

I think the way they are hyping it up is not going to help, People's expectations are too high which could lead to huge failure. And on top of that its just pop music, I hardly think we can call it the album of the decade when the new decade just begun I am sure there will be better albums
hahaha I agree.

Calling a Lady Gaga record as the "best one of a decade" is a joke.

A bad feeling about the second studio album of the most strong artist of the last two years ? :-? :o I think it's totally impossible than this album flopped. The fans want absolutely buy this new album.

It's not totally impossible that this flops. Not very very possible either, but it partially is. Lately I feel that her hype has relied just on the weird dresses and (for lack of a better word) ridiculous statements and attitude and not in the music like in The Fame Era and that might eventually make people get tired of her ''differentness''.
No hate, of course.

We all know this is her hit or miss album and nothing's impossible. I just don't like the way this hype goes. Maybe we'll get a great record, but people will expect more because of hype.

Of course nothing is impossible. But she will be in the situation of Britney Spears with "I Did It Again" in 2000 after the enormous first album. Difficult to flop after a massive first album. The second album is almost always the album of the consecration in term of sales.

^Hmmm... Not quite. OIDIA was released quicker than BTW after debut and Gaga already put some new material with release of The Fame Monster EP. BTW may suffer to some extent from the third album charm. If it's similar stuff to what was before people may not be interested in another rara gaga nanana papa lala hook.

I'm really interested how this album will do and what it'll offer musically. I'm not a great Gaga fan but she's a phenomenon in music industry

EDIT:
wrong album title changed :P

I love Gaga, of course i hope it will open to better numbers but overexposure might work against her advantage. She's everywhere and people might get tired of her. But if the material is good and strong, she'll sell a lot :D

A flop for her, at her level now,.....would translate into 3- 3.5 milion sales, which would be quite an achievement nowdays for the most part of the old and new acts!

It's true there is a little overexposure. But, in the same time, she has released her first opus in 2008 and the second in 2011 : it's a good timing.

You speak WW I imagine ?
In US, a flop for her would be just 1 or 1,5 million.

I wonder how GaGa would react if this actually flopped? I'm 99% sure it won't, but it will happen sometime in the future.

I think 360K max, but maybe 280-300K, will not be surprise and 220K. I think that sales in the UK will be either similar or higher.

With less than 300k, she would not be in the Top 3 debuts of 2011 for sure...

A flop?? The Fame and The Fame Monster are like 2 separate albums, like it or not... So we could say they have sold like 6 million each.

She's not going to be the biggest seller forever... So, if BTW album does 3,5 million in 2011 would still be a hit, cos I highly doubt many albums can do better than that in 2011.

If someone is still specting BTW to sell 6 million or even more... you should start changing your mind.

I think the album will have a peak position # 2 in the US, but # 1 in the annual chart.
