IDK if here is the right place to ask this, but lets go:

Why Toxic never reached number 1 in the USA? Because of sales or airplay? Its such a great song.

in earlier times the Hot 100 ONLY included airplay.. so who was #1 in the airplay charts, was #1 on the Hot 100 - and like you should know, britney was not the airplay artist.. toxic reached ~90 million AI and was #9 and the Hot 100 and this is fine in my opinion.

if downloads were included these days she would have gone #1 but nobody can change the past :wink:

If you wanna praise Toxic go to the ITZ era thread (oh wait). Here we praise FF and Criminal, the single which started charting in September 2011 and in March is still charting.
...and which has less AI than a nine year old song.

Criminal keeps making me happy in Spain.

Spain's biggest radio station, los 40 principales, has now Criminal as the #5 most requested song of the week. All the Femme Fatale singles were top 10, IWG and TTWE were #1. This is like z100 in New York (influence and popularity).

livepopbars.com now has a top 1000 for every country song chart. Maybe it's on Dutch itunes. I never include it in my updates because Britney is never charting there, but maybe it is indeed charting.

Ok thanks. The CD was discounted to just 4,99 in the Netherlands. Don't know if this is still the case though.
