I'm not a fan but I've been interested in her since "Keep This Fire Burning"... :)

I can definitely remember seeing the video for "No Such Thing" on TV and liking the song well enough, then hearing "Your Body Is A Wonderland" and "Daughters" on the radio pretty regularly. I've never considered myself a fan, nor have I bought any of his albums, but I do enjoy a handful of his singles, and I've heard that his guitar skills at live shows are quite impressive.

so...when did YOU first give half of your heart (or more) to John Mayer?

he used to be this hot.. with the long weave.. not so much anymore.

However, I became a fan when I heard his masterpiece that is Assassin.. I knew him before that but I didn't like Your Body is a wonderland that much.

Since 2010 he's become an A-lister in my word, a complete and total legend and one of my most played artists of all times.

a love-child between him and Florence Welch would be the epitome of music.

Waiting On The World To Change! He's one hell of a musician :) Some brilliant songs on every single album!

From the moment I saw the No Such Thing video on some MTV countdown, I began to like him. I wasn't fussed on YBIAW at the time, but I like it now.

It took me about another 6-9 months after seeing the NST video for me to get the album and then I was hooked. Around that time (or maybe a bit later) I bought a ticket to see him live as well.

I'm not as big a fan of his now as I was circa 2003-about 2006, but I still enjoy his music somewhat.

Oh and I don't like the long hair either. I remember being non-plussed when he sported it during the Continuum era.

I wouldn't consider myself a massive fan of John Mayer's but I first took notice of him when I heard "Who Says". The first line alone was saucy and I really liked the song. Battle Studies is actually not a bad album. :)

"Back to You" and the whole Room for Squares album is one of the best albums of the 2000s!

John... where do I start!!!!!?? He's one of my favourite artists ever! I love his music and how he plays that guitar!!! (and his looks>>)..

Well I've always remembered hearing some of his songs but never decided to check him out until 2009 when I heard Halfof My Heart (yes, with Taylor Swift  ) but she wasn't in in a lot and I loved his voice so I bought Battle Studies and fell in love with him. Assassin is one of the best songs I've ever heard! Since then I've grown to love just about all his albums and even though I've bought two so far, I am planning to get all of them (thank goodness for spotify).. His latest one (Born & Raised) is of my favourites this year! I just love John Mayer's music so much! and how it has evolved.. he's a true artist for me... (and though he might not be as liable as his music, I enjoy him haha)

I really liked him after I heard the album "Room For Squares", but when I heard the following album "Heavier Things" I was sold. After that album he impressed me with each era and I even got the opportunity to see him live. Let me tell you, he's awesome live. So good! :D

His latest album "Born And Raised" is definitely not my favorite John Mayer album but it's still good!

Continuum, for sure.

Gravity, Belief, Vultures and others are masterpieces.

And his performances along with legends such as BB King and Eric Clapton are a plus.

Yep!

Room for Squares and Heavier Things were kinda hit-and-miss for me but when he released Continuum, I was pleasantly surprised. It definitely solidified his status as one of the greatest guitarists of his generation. I wasn't a fan of Battle Studies but his latest album is probably his best, imo.

Really? I didn't have time to pay attention to Born and Raised except for the first single, but now I'll give it a special placing in my musical queue!

I really think Born and Raised is his best album. It's not as faux soul rock as his previous albums, and it's much more genuine/less polished than his past efforts. Hope you like it!

I'm not a huge fan of his, I only have 2 of his albums Continuum and Battle Studios

I discovered his music when I got my first blackberry years ago and found a live video of 'Waiting On the World to Change' in the video section  I think it's funny because these videos/songs you find when you buy a new device are usually crap but I freaking loved that one and kept it

^This and I also always liked "Your body is a wonderland". So I watched some clips on Youtube and I became an admirer of his music and guitar-skills. His new album is great too.
And if I only could
I'd make a deal with God
And I'd get him to swap our places
