I'm obsessed with this at the moment, can't believe I didn't like this at first!

I think this part if the song is genuis, very clever writing.

Turn the lights out now
Now I'll take you by the hand
Hand you another drink
Drink it if you can
Can you spend a little time,
Time is slipping away from us so stay,
Stay with me I can make,
Make you glad you came
Ed did a great job with this.
You light a spark in my bonfire heart.

Is this the version they are showing on the music channels?

It sounds like the European dance sound that's so popular at the moment... I love it.

Actually I don't, find it pretty lame ... I would prefer a Cahill/WaWa remix of this, please ...

This is certainly catchy but not exactly original is it? Still they have released some decent singles so far, not something I would normally say about a boyband

I dont like this song and I hate it when they start the next line with the word they ended the previous line with.

Music Week wrote:Now appearing on the Global Talent label via Island, The Wanted are heading straight to the top of the UK singles chart this weekend with Glad You Came, which is presently bettering the combined sales of Ministry of Sound’s Louder by DJ Fresh featuring Sian Evans and RCA’s Beyonce single Best Thing I Never Had, the second and third top sellers of the week so far.

If, as is likely, it ends up at number one on the week-end chart, Glad You Came will be the fourth successive number one which has not be subject to on air/on sale.

Seriously? Who buys this crap? I know there's been some awful number ones recently but this is just to quote aishawch 'bleurgh'!

Irish Top 50 Singles Chart

01.
(--) The Wanted - Glad You Came

GfK ChartTrack wrote:It was a four-way race at the top of this week’s Singles Chart as Pitbull, DJ Fresh, Example and The Wanted vied to topple Jedward from the summit. When they crossed the finishing line at midnight last night, The Wanted were marginally ahead of the pack claiming their first Irish No1 trophy.

With less than 50 sales separating them, the other contenders hold on to their last week’s positions: Pitbull’s ‘Give Me Everything’ stays at No2, Example holds on at No3 with ‘Changed The Way You Kiss Me’ and DJ Fresh ends the week at No4 with ‘Louder’.

:o :o :o

Pretty shocked at that outcome, I have to say. I didn't think that they would have had it in them to get an Irish #1 with this! I am pleased, though, because it's a great song.
