 Where do you get all that money?! I wish she'd come back to Australia, the old cow! I must see her before I die.

Did you watch those!? :)

I save money of course, for these sort of events. I hope she visits Australia pal. I saw her in 2007 and in 2009 (twice), and she's a fantastic live performer. Plus I like that she's going to bring along the quartet this time.

Booklet looks AMAZING, as usual for Tori's works.

I'm going to listen to the first tracks right now... I hope to be back soon and tell you my impressions on this album. :P

Tash's voice is way better than I expected! It's really catchy, actually. :D

I can see a big potencial, perhaps she'll follow her mother's ways and become an alternative singer as well.

"Please leave me your ghost
I will keep him from harm
I understand that you've been wounded

My embers and my blues
Could have another use
Please leave me your ghost"

Touching lyrics. I'm in love with every song so far.

You are? I am so happy Kevin! It's heartbreaking in a way how the song starts after 2 minutes (Ghost). Slowly, more people are discovering this album! It is just... :o

It's 6 o'clock in the morning here. Listening to Star Whisperer surrounded by the absolute darkness makes me feel like I'm a confused creative little teenage boy again.

As soon as the piano to the instrumental kicks in, she takes us out on this adventure... it's a search for something... Cannot wait to hear this live!!!

Chun - looking forward to read your opinions. Best album of the year. Undoubtedtly!

My 7 year old niece is in love with this album by the way! She says:

"Can't you play that album with the piano, so we can tell ghost stories!?" - so she's become obsessed with ghosts and all of that stuff now. Making all the other kids feel uncomfortable around her. She's the best.

And she's right about one thing.. she said last night:

"You can almost break dance to this music" and so she did. That's actually what I've been thinking too... some of the songs have a very rough attitude, the piano that is, and I find myself, jamming along like if it's a heavy hip-hop/r&b record

Everytime I listen to this album in full i get so absorbed in the story that I wish they'd make a movie/musical out of this!

That would be interesting!

I guess that she's still working on the Light Princess, or whatever it's called. A musical I think.

ENJOY!! 8-) 8-)
I'm so jealous! I've never seen Tori live. I'm such a bad fan! She's been performing a couple of times the past few years here, but I never got the money or time to attend one of her concerts. One day I will lol. She's just amazing, I want to see this genius woman perform.

Oh this was intended to be in the Kate Bush Yeti-thread. I'm listening now to NOH for the first time. I'm not a fan of her, judging from her 90's stuff. Let's see..

After a big disappointment about "Midwinter Graces", I wasn't expecting for this amazing piece of music.

I have to admit: I'm addicted to this album! :P

The classical tunes, romantic lyrics and acoustic background remind me some kind of 'formal' dance, like a ball.

How can you be dissappointent in Midwinter Graces??? That album is a masterpiece, just like NOH is.

But I agree with you, the classical tunes really fit Tori the best!!

I mean it's trivial, just a collection of seasonal covers and new songs alike - it's not a problem at all, but there was nothing really creative or catchy on these covers and I get bored really fast.

Well, that's not exactly what we usually expect from Tori. =\

P.S.: I'll try "Midwinter Graces" again soon, so maybe I finally find her point.

Seven Sisters gives me the imagery of Tori being transported back to the present world. It's like she's in some kind of time travelling tunnel of sorts  And during this "time-travel" she gets her final epiphany about her relationship and what she must do, leading to the concluding song Carry.

I can't get enough of this album. Battle of Trees has grown on me so much now. I never skip to any song when I listen to this album, that will just spoil the whole plot. What an amazing piece of work.

NOH is one of her best records if not the best, it definitely is the most "approachable".

What Child Nowell from MG is such a beautiful song though!! I love it so much!!

This is a great album but I would not call it her best one because everything she releases is great. When it comes to her live performances she's always amazing, I love the official Legs and Boots performances 8-)

I have to cry whenever I listen to "Carry". Such an outstanding masterpiece. Definitely deserves the Grammy Award for Best Song/Best Recording.

It's a shame this didn't end up on any year-end chart. Undeserved as this is a flawless album, from start to finish.
