Of all the threads currently on the first page of Dance/Remixes, the only one to put [Single] or [Album] in titles is you!
So look at other forums:

those topics have descriptions in titles and still weren't edited!! There are more examples that other users do put the descriptions in titles!!!

I'm sure the mods will correct those thread titles now that you've brought them to our attention!

Crowded thread titles

Sorry but putting single/album in the topic title don't make the thread title look crowded. :-?

Plus, I really want to know who did edit my topic. :-?

My guess would be Thriller - he's been posting during the day, and JimJim must surely be in bed!

Yeah it was me and I made my feelings on it clear in the thread Neil linked us too. I'm gonna have a chat with the mods about it, see if we can come to a final decision.

You don't need to put [single] in a title as the majority of threads are about singles. I think you need to put [album] or (album) in a title to avoid confusion and tell people that it's not a single (it's not "obvious that it's a single or album" in the months before a release or the first few weeks). The only time "single" should be mentioned is if it's a title track of an album.

No, i meant to remove "single" from the quote. I still think that singles are so common that you don't need to tell people that's what they are. It is albums that are the minority. A forum full of titles marked "single" would look repetitive and would hurt the eyes!!

I am really annoyed when two new threads turn up - one an album and one a single but the album one is not headed as such. Like the new Coldplay releases. I had no idea which one was the single until i clicked. I like to know beforehand because i don't want to click an album thread unless i'm interested. I don't think anyone wants to look at an album thread unless they are a fan of that act so titling album threads as (album) or [album] to me is just courtesy and it's baffling that people don't do it like they used to when i first joined.

They did it! Shame it's been barged out of the way by three tunes that don't deserve it on iTunes.

Blasphemy, "Heaven" is amazing.

Good for them, lowest #1 sales since 2009 though!

Good video!

Music Week wrote:Nero score their first-ever UK number one with Promises, while Amy Winehouse's Back To Black continues to lead albums as it becomes the 21st Century's biggest seller.

The drum & bass/dubstep trio, who are apprenticed to Chase & Status’ MTA label, debut at the top with pretty unspectacular sales – 46,700, the lowest tally for a number one in 97 weeks. It is Nero’s third hit, following Me And You, which reached number 15 in January, and Guilt, number eight in May.

The drum & bass/dubstep trio, who are apprenticed to Chase & Status’ MTA label, did so with pretty unspectacular sales – 46,700, the lowest tally for a number one in 97 weeks – but any number one has to outperform the market, no matter how weak or strong, and Promises delivered. It is Nero’s third hit, following Me And You, which reached number 15 in January, and Guilt, number eight in May. All three singles are on Nero’s debut album, Welcome Reality, which drops today (August 15). Promises, incidentally, is an original song, written by Nero’s two official members Joe Ray and Daniel Stephens, and their vocalist Alana Watson, and is the first of nine different Top 75 entries entitled Promises to reach number one.

:-? I don't think it's good, sounds like You're Not Alone, but that was better.

However I'll never accept that the entire population (or a portion of it) of the UK could only buy 46,700 copies of any single which was reportedly Number One, when they only cost 89 to 99p to buy.
Take the blindfolds off guys that's proof for you, that sales figure.
Crumbs they aren't selling CD singles at £3-99p from stores that could have been shut last week by looting!

The figure is the figure. If you want to dispute official sales figures, this is not the thread in which to do so.

This thread has been one OT mess!!!!

Yeah low sales, but who cares. It's a great achievement, especially as this is their third single from the new album!

I still prefer "Guilt" though.
