I don't believe any other interntional band sold more than them.. so they remain mega super hardcore successful here. 8-)

Not surprised. That was absolutely expected. It's really sad, but we can do nothing.

Mylo Xyloto debuts at No. 2 on the Dutch Backcatalogue Chart :o  ...

The Dutch Chart is really a mess: Mylo Xyloto fell from No. 31 off the Albums Chart all of a sudden in late april, then was nowhere to be found and now enters the Catalogue Chart and re-enters the CombiAlbums Chart at No. 28. Really weird considering some albums are still charting on the normal Albums Chart that are far older than Mylo Xyloto...

I know, right? It's a complete and utter mess. The backcatalogue also says that all the older albums charting for weeks or months already are RE-ENTRIES.

I think they simply made an honest mistake with Mylo Xyloto and are now trying to rectify it like this. No way it fell from ~20 to OUT in one week and is now, two months later, suddenly charting high enough for top 20 or something.

Nice! In the US this might not be doing as well as Viva La Vida, but in the UK it's doing VERY WELL. How do its sales compare to Viva La Vida's after a similar time span, any clue?

I'm amazed by POC's stability. I didn't expect it to stay in the top 10 for a long time. That's great.

Also surprised by Mylo Xyloto. sales must be around 10K, I guess. 8-)

Hmmm...
2008 YEC -> 1,380,367(29 weeks), so I'd say 1,4mln  Including this week sales, MX has sold 1.23mln copies to date.
Mylo is doing worse, but has much much better longevity, so it could pass VLV's sales some time :P

At this time of their respective chart runs, Mylo Xyloto Sales are higher than that of what Viva had achieved :D :

UK Sales Figures After 37 Chart Weeks:

Mylo Xyloto - 1,23 Million
Viva La Vida - 1,141,338

The 1,380,367 figure from above is taken from the 'UK Best-Selling Albums Artists - 2008' which is the total of albums coldplay had sold in 2008 ranging from Parachutes to Viva, Viva La Vida at the end of 2008 had sold 1,089,000

Mylo's continued chart run in the UK is impressive, It should continue to chart well throughout the coming months especially with POC's continued chart/radio/tv success, and then the release of Hurts Like Heaven as the 5th single.

Wow, at this point not even Timmy can deny that MX is doing GREAT in the UK :P

Better chart run, better sales (in a sales climate much worse) and with a -comparatively- equally selling single (Paradise sold more than VLV, but then single sales were lower back then as well).
