Sony Music Poland confirms Wish You Were Here as 3rd single from Goodbye Lullaby

Avril Lavigne announced her 3rd single off her newest album, Goodbye Lullaby, and the single is going for a more soft side of her as she is releasing Wish You Were Here. The next single could possibly be the last single off this new album because Avril has stated that she is already working on a new, probably more pop, record. She says this record was mainly for her fans, that’s why it included so many softer styled songs.

Single will be released near the end of summer. Sony also states the video will be filmed in August and will be released a few weeks after in September.

This had to be a single at some point, I guess it could be her 'Already Gone'. I love this song, although I wish my favourite off the album - 'Push' would get a release.

This song is amazing! I love it.
I hope it becomes a huge hit for Avril and sparks some interest in the album.

This is a great song (not as good as the two other singles though IMO). I'm not sure if it'll have the drive to become a hit though under her current circumstances.

hmmm...since "Smile" (which is pretty commercial) is really struggling in the US, I don't think this has any better chance...but it IS one of my favorites left on the album (along with "Push").

**fingers crossed** that it defies my expectations! I really want to see this album/era become more successful.

I disagree... Smile is damn catchy but its like a step back to 2005 and not commercial at all these days

. Dance/Pop is commercial, not pop/rock. Anyways I also hope that this is huge because the album definately deserves more success! It has a similar stucture to Pinks - Fu**in Perfect so heres hoping!

They should have gone with this as the 2nd single in the UK. WTH got minor Airplay so to me it was obvious Smile would also get minimum exposure. They should have went with this and Radio 1 would have likely picked it up with the likelyhood of Radio 2 also playlisting it!

I agree. After "Smile" not doing so well. I can't see this doing very well. For her next album, she really needs to reinvent herself otherwise she is just gonna fade away.
