Kelly Clarkson's Stronger Due October 25
First single, 'Mr. Know It All,' hits radio at the end of the month.

After multiple leaks, delays, seeming frustration and endless anticipation, Kelly Clarkson's fifth album finally has a release date.

Stronger is slated to drop October 25, preceded by the single "Mr. Know It All." Clarkson will host a live webcast with fans August 30 on her website, during which she will debut the song. The single will then hit radio directly after the webcast and be available for sale at all major digital-music stores September 5, according to an announcement from Clarkson's label.

Fans who just can't wait can pre-order the album from Clarkson's site and then automatically get the single as soon as it's available. Clarkson posted a note to her fans Tuesday explaining the decision to combine her two websites into one and expressing excitement about finally unleashing the songs.

"Can't wait for y'all to hear the new single!" she wrote. "The band and I are really excited and currently gearing up for this record! It's gonna be a fun record to tour!"

The original "American Idol" winner has been patiently anticipating a release date for the disc, telling fans last month that the long wait would soon be over. "Just found out my single is hitting radio in August!" she tweeted. "Woohoo! It sounds great as well! Can't wait for y'all to hear it!" But just an hour later, Clarkson apologized for getting a bit too excited. "Okay please do not get angry but it might be September for my single," she wrote. "My calendar was messed up! I'm so sorry! BUT it might be late August! It's a huge bummer waiting but I promise it'll be worth it! Stupid technology!!"

The album, originally teased as a late 2010 release, was pushed back to early 2011, with Clarkson filling the gap in February by talking up her influences, such as Prince, Tina Turner, Radiohead, Sheryl Crow and Aretha Franklin, and hitting the studio with producer Rodney Jerkins. In early February, she announced, with a bit of consternation, that the then-untitled album was finished but had been pushed back until September.

Then, last month, three songs that are reportedly slated for the album leaked, just a week after another new tune, the rocking "Let Me Down," surfaced online. The new songs, which were quickly scrubbed from the Internet, also included the ballad "Forgive You" and the pop-rocker "Dumb + Dumb = You."

It's interesting, but it wouldn't have fit with the album at all. Not that "All I Ever Wanted" made much more sense.
this might just be my imagination running away with me, but I thought the Masquerade title made a lot of sense. I always interpreted it as Kelly having to "masquerade" as an upbeat-pop artist, making the album that her label wanted her to. she hasn't been afraid to take jabs at her label before, and that's what I assumed that original title was meant to do. she could always give a more watered-down/friendly explanation of the title in interviews if the label really pressured her to, but that double-meaning would always be there.

though I guess "All I Ever Wanted" could work too, in an ironic sense, since making another commercially-minded upbeat-pop album is anything BUT what she wanted.

You might be onto something there, but what a horrible way to brand your album! She might as well have it called it, "I was forced to release this manufactured garbage. Enjoy!"

 but I can imagine that's how she felt! after My December, I doubt she was thrilled to record an album filled with Max Martin pop-by-numbers, Katy Perry throwaways, and Ryan Tedder ripping off his own material.

not to hate so much on All I Ever Wanted, I do enjoy it, but I don't think Kelly had her heart in most of it.

Probably not on the whole, but I think she's close with tracks like "Cry", "Ready" and "Save You".

I honestly can't wait for this! OMG! Kelly Clarkson is back! :P
All her albums are amazing!!! From "Breakaway" to "My December" (which might've flopped back in the day but it's still a good record) & "All I Ever Wanted" which was like a rip off of Breakaway LOL , but her albums are incredible! :) God I can't wait!!

I'm hoping for breakaway sounds! I want rock/pop song but still very much appeals to adults like behind these hazel eyes, breakaway and walk away not MLWSWU type of songs that's just fully a banger song without the adult/mature appeal. Also already gone was a great track! Too long only imo. But still epic!

Am i the only one who prefers masquerade as an album title more than AIEW? masquerade leaves more impact imo. It just does not really fits the album.

Hopefully she releases two singles before releasing her album 'cause its like her comeback after a long time. It'll secure her presence in the music scene more by releasing two singles before the album imo.
Now show me how much better you are! (So much better yeah?!)

You don't remember the Already Gone/Halo drama thing that she accused of him of using the same backtrack to.

Kelly confirmed the following in her flopped Livestream.

* Duet with an associated American Idol female artists is on the album.
* 13 Songs on the album. (No tracklist finalized yet though)
* There will be a deluxe edition.
* She recorded a duet with Chris Daughtry, but it didn't make the cut.
* She wrote half of the album with her band and people she never worked with before.
* It doesn't sound like anything she has done before.
* Touring next year.
* Named album "Stronger" because the album is all about empowerment and strength.
* A song called "What Doesn't Kill You" is on the album, and might be a single at somepoint.
* Her Best album vocally according to her and her record label.
* Pre-Order the album on her official website, and get the single from free.
* Most of the songs leaked won't be on the album. Some of them are really really old recordings. (Some are from the Thankful sessions)
* She loves the single cover for "Mr Know It All".

Fun fact revealed
* She desperately wants to duet with Adele and Miranda Lambert, and she will stalk them until it happens.

I am hoping the associated American Idol female artists is Jordin Sparks.

hmmm. does that mean she wrote the other 8 songs all by herself, or that she didn't have a hand in writing those other 8 at all? :-?

in terms of the AI female, I wouldn't mind Jordin, but I think a Kelly/Carrie duet could be very interesting too! ;)

Let me correct myself. She said she wrote half the album, and the rest are songs submitted to her. The ones she wrote were not solo written. She work with people from her band and other people she had never written with before. I woudln't mind Carrie either, but I think it will be Jordin or J-Hud.

My second bet would be Carrie.

:o :o :o

Now that you mention Carrie I think it'll be her , cause you know.. she's country... KC loves country... If she really is doing something different then she'd duet with JHud ;)
