By all fairness, Primadonna is similar to what is trendy now so it's not like the song would be totally different from other other current songs on the chart.

Yeah..

I don't understand why it has fallen so quickly off the chart.

I don't want to sound like a music snob and say people don't appreciate good music, but honestly, if you look at some of the albums that stick around for a while in the top 100, and then see that Electra Heart falls out so rapidly, it makes you wonder... :roll:

Thanks once again nickf1! I was expecting it to be around 200.000 - guess it's more wishful thinking.

Power & Control was a brainless decision as the follow up to Primadonna! How To Be A Heartbreaker would obviously chart better and promote the album more - but I still think a song like "Starring Role" could do a good job at presenting the album for what it is?

She needs a single out soon, that's all! If she is going to outsell The Familt Jewels. Amazing album either way! 8-)

I wouldn't call this a fail... it peaked at #31 which is very good. She has no airplay hit there, no single hit, only less promo, the album wasn't that huge in the UK too and her first album peaked only at #138 there so it's doing fine...

Many recent albums by some barely known artists (at least in the US) debuted relatively high (Kimbra, Ed Sheeran, Emeli Sande, Rebecca Ferguson) but dropped relatively fast in the following weeks, therefore you could say that a high debut doesn't mean much anymore.
