She's done it! Officially the UK's #1 album this week. SO pleased... makes up for "Primadonna" missing the top 10 again!

In the case of NME, their readers don't always agree:Vindrag wrote:I don't want to be rude against fans of other artists. But I'm just wondering if these reviewers who gave Electra Heart bad scores praised or gave better reviews for recent Katy Perry, Rihanna or Lady GaGa albums.. etcetera. What's up with the 1/10 review!?![]()
This is often the case with concept albums, that just like Blondini wrote.. they don't seem to focus on the actual music but the flawed concept instead. HUmbug!

Someone should tell this George Boorman that the "final stamp of disapproval on her flailing excuse of a musical career" is this week's number one album.George Boorman of Clash scored the album one out of ten, dubbing it "an ingloriously languid statement of Marina's demise, the final stamp of disapproval on her flailing excuse of a musical career."
how much did it sell though? Album sales have been terrible lately. I mean Adele is still near the top of the charts after almost 1.5 years.Mikerocha wrote:JustForMe wrote:Great news!topopMAC1 wrote:YES!!!![]()

#1 in the UK & Ireland. Eat that reviewers
It sold less than 'The Family Jewels' did in its first week!Thriller wrote:Apparently the sales were just 21k. I was hoping for around 35k to be honest![]()
At least "Primadonna" has climbed again, so a good week for her overall.
I've been enjoying "The State Of Dreaming" lately, it didn't stand out to me at first.
And - this won't be too soon as she needs to recover her voice. Primadonna is still hanging around so it doesn't matter if the album drops. Best to wait till Prima drops low enough. The public hears it at least once a week on chart rundowns so it's not like she'll be forgotten!Mikerocha wrote:21K is really lowIt will definitely fall out of the Top 5 next week. She needs to jump to the next single as soon as possible.
She has to postpone the tour by a month so everything revolves around that. It's not very late to me - gives her two months to recover/ do a video/ prepare everything. As it is already available to buy, and the promotion would start middle of June anyway we will see it chart from then. How can she do promotion now when she's ill and Primadonna is still high?Vindrag wrote:That's very late, isn't it? Middle of June would've been perfect.
I love it. I love how many of her songs focus on the hypocritical people trying to bring us down. Are You Satisfied? and Girls were my favorites on the first album about that subject.jamesssxD wrote:Hypocrates is starting to grow on me, I like it now
