Lana Del Rey's upcoming debut album will be released on 30 January, 2012. It's already available for pre-orders at Amazon.co.uk.

Her debut single, "Video Games", was digitally released as a double A-side EP ("Video Games" + "Blue Jeans") on 10th October and is doing quite great everywhere.

Is it the song of a soundtrack or something, because the debut single of a new artist usually takes a lot of time to be recognized, doesn't it?

Nope, no soundtrack, Timmy94, but Video Games did get a short play on an episode of Ringer. It seems to have been a bit of an 'underground' thing (and, yes, I know she has big backing), a viral video plus, in the UK certainly, an appearance on Jools Holland last week (amazingly her first ever live TV performance) definitely helped (last time I checked the EP was #1 on UK iTunes!).

I'm assuming the sales of the EP don't count for the calculation of the position of Video Games on the singles chart? It was a no-brainer to get the EP on iTunes on account of it being £1.89 for 4 songs, i.e. cheaper than buying Video Games and Blue Jeans separately.
