I'm hoping for a sales boost in the UK after her performances in the Isle of Wight and Radio 1's Hackney Weekend :P

That would be great :D

I want 4m worldwide plus another good single success (at least Top10 in some countries but not as big as VG was).

Well no it's not?!

I still find her boring as hell and don't like these boring songs except Summertime Sadness.

Matter of opinions once again.. Some will like her, some not.

And 4m WW is a little bit delusional... Maybe 3m max.

Really? So logic. And so...it's your opinion. It is normal for countries to follow trends, so that's why i don't understand her fail there. I hope in the near future, a different situation of cross. A slow-burner comes <3

So...why you are here? If you aren't interested...

Do i have to ask you whether i am allowed to come in into this thread? Nah i don't think so.

I visit this Thread a few times a week, because i want to know how Lana does progress. Just because i don't like her music, doesn't mean i am completly not interested in her chart progressing...

Ps: I don't agree with this "trend" argument. There is always a countrie, which won't follow these so called trends. Robbie Williams was also a "trend" in Europe, but never made it into the US.
Who knows if Lana can make it there, but right now i don't think so.

He's not interested in her music, but maybe in her chart performance  ... In the end, it's not the "Who loves Lana Del Rey's music"-thread, but the chart analysis of the Born To Die era thread...

Tbh, I don't care if the album won't sell 3M or more.

2M is great and back in January I would never have imagine her sales right now. All I want from Lana is flawless music and I hope she won't go more mainstream to have more sales.

3mln total without support from US would be just astonishing  I only want her to sell 2mln+ copies outside US

I know... but i still think she will rise in the US again. But if SS will be a big/moderate hit in Austria, Germany and Switzerland, i'm sure the album will climb back to the Top10 there. And if NA will be at least a moderate hit worldwide, the album will climb in other countries too.

Currently BTD sold 258,000 copies in USA, 470,700 in the UK and around 212,000 in Germany. With the singles (as i said above) i'm sure she can sell another 200k or more this year in Germany (= double platinum), at least another 130,000 copies in UK (= double platinum) and i'm sure she will go at least Gold in the USA, so another 250,000 copies there.

Also, with Dark Paradise as a single in the autumn i'm sure she will be stable until Christmas, and usually sales are very high then and as Adele last year i'm sure Born To Die will be a perfect Christmas gift :)

Finally, if we are VERY lucky she will get a nomination at the Grammy 2013 and win it, then the sales will increase again...

I know this sounds maybe a little bit delusional. But everything is still possible with this era!
