That depends on how National Anthem is doing in other digital stores: If it's decreasing there, the increase on ITunes only balances this out...

Isn't National Anthem the next single in the US? So I doubt that SS would push the album's sales there  ...

Does it matter which single is released there as a official when all the songs have the same impact on radios - zero. We can't know if it's SS or NA causing the rise of album, though IMO it's probably SS cuz the rise appeared after video premiere of SS.

^ I also think it's because of Summertime Sadness, but i don't know why. Maybe the appearence of Jamie King helped a bit?

no, neither was SS

but, I'm pretty sure that she'll perform on US X-Factor this year, so we'll know the official US single in about 3,4 months

I think Lana gets quite a lot of internet promo. People seem to talk a lot about her videos on social networking sites and blogs. I think thats why she has risen in the US

She seems to be the definition of an Internet-promoted artist.

Which isn't a bad thing per se - after all that's the world we live in now - but I can't help feeling she would sell even more if she was promoted more through traditional channels.
Counting down the days until 21 outsells Morning Glory in the UK.
Mission complete on 29.12.2012 :)

Summertime Sadness in Germany

Musicload: 6 & 41
iTunes: 10 & 96 / EP 52
Amazon: 13 & 27

The airplay is rising and the video will be played on TV. I just want a top 10 for this song and longevity.

Do you think the album could go gold in the long term in the US? I'm pretty sure she won't get a hit there but the album is still selling ~5/6k every week and with the Grammys & VMA coming(if she gets noms...)
