Taylor Swift has released some really rather good pop-country songs - particularly "Love Story" and "You Belong With Me". Never someone I'd actually buy an album of, but if she lasts for a career as good as her early stuff, I might be persuaded into a greatest hits when it's all over.

...but Taylor Swift missing the top 1 is absolutely CRIMINAL

She is easily my favorite artist in this "emerging acts" countdown.
I d say she doesn t only copy Shania Twain, she took the road and paved her own way without the hype machine behind her.

she s a hard working person as well and learns from her mistakes, i love her 8-)
+1 I'm completely lost at who could be #1 now

Taylor got some filler votes from me, just because of Love Story, but other than than I really don't like her.

Gaga for #1! :D

T-Swift is amazing. I think I ranked her at #2. Her music is so relatable for hopelessly romantic teenagers and young adults and she's been a beacon of sunshine in the tainted world of Hollywood - an excellent role model. I haven't been feeling her recent stuff much but I'm sure she will rise once again to the occasion with this fourth LP. :)

Welsh indie-rock-pop band Florence + The Machine come in at #7. The band consists of lead Florence Welsh and a rotating group of collaborating musicians. The BBC had a major role in breaking the group before their debut album "Lungs" in 2009. Seven singles charted from that album in the UK, led by "Kiss With a Fist". One top 10 single was among those hits, "You've Got The Love". Their second album "Ceremonials" was released last year, four singles already out, led by the #12 "Shake It Out". They are the highest "rock" act in this countdown.

Florence is easily the best top 10 act thus far. She's bringing class to a pop world that usually loves disposable trash.

Florence + The Machine are fantastic. "No Light, No Light" is one of the more epic singles to be released within the last few months and Florence's voice is really something else. Her performance at the BRIT awards was truly outstanding.

Great to see the Enemy mentioned - but too bad they missed the top 100 :(

Jordin Sparks... well I love "Tattoo" but don't care for any of her others.
