Epic bunch!

"Run The World", "E.T.", "**** Perfect", "California King Bed" and "Judas" all are fantastic!

"California King Bed" is just soooo beautiful, same with the P!nk's song. "Run The World" is a great party club song, so are "E.T." & "Judas"!

Thank you for your comments once again! I really appreciate it! :)

Here it is - my official Top20 Best Songs from 2011!

Image

#20 best thing i never had BEYONCE (370 points, monthly peak: #1)

With 370 points gained it's time for the very last Beyoncé's entry! Lovely follow-up to 'Run The World (Girls)' was a huge grower. While it's far from being her best single it's still a nice track. None of '4' singles managed to beat number of points scored back in 2006 by 'Irreplaceable' - 737. I'm sorry, but we've just lost another contender! It's not Bey who ran my chart this year.

Back in the day - Beyoncé:

#2 - Halo (2009)
#4 - Irreplaceable (2006)
#5 - Beautiful Liar (feat. Shakira) (2007)
#10 - Check On It (feat. Slim Thug) (2006)
#11 - Sweet dreams (2009)
#15 - Single Ladies (Put a ring on it) (2009)
#17 - Telephone (feat. Lady GaGa) (2010)
#18 - Cater 2 U (with Destiny's Child) (2005)
#20 - Best Thing I Never Had (2011)
#23 - Deja Vu (feat. Jay-Z) (2006)
#24 - Listen (2007)
#29 - Run The World (Girls) (2011)
#36 - Lose my breath (with Destiny's Child) (2005)
#43 - Countdown (2011)
#48 - Girl (with Destiny's Child) (2005)
#61 - Video Phone (feat. Lady GaGa) (2010)
#68 - Why don't you love me? (2010)
#73 - Upgrade U (feat. Jay-Z) (2007)
#88 - Green light (2007)
#92 - Party (feat. André 3000 (2011)

Image

#19 the one that got away KATY PERRY (376 points, monthly peak: #2)

It's time for Miss Perry! Sixth single from her second album 'Teenage dream' was another top3 hit for Katy. I wasn't sure about that song at first, but then after video was released I was so in love with the storyline and song. Last year, Katy put three singles in top10 of 2010. How far can she go with 'Last Friday Night'?

Back in the day - Katy Perry:

#3 - California Gurls (feat. Snoop Dogg) (2010)
#6 - Teenage dream (2010)
#9 - Firework (2010)
#19 - The One That Got Away (2011)
#25 - Thinking of You (2009)
#30 - E.T. (feat. Kanye West) (2011)
#43 - Waking Up in Vegas (2009)

Image

#18 hold it against me BRITNEY SPEARS (378 points, monthly peak: #3)

Lead single from 'Femme Fatale' scored almost 380 points in 2011 and became another top20 hit for Britney! 'Hold it against me' was released in January, but it's still hot and fierce. Although it's not the best Britney's lead track, it became a huge hit on my chart and went top3 in February. The best of her is still yet to come on my countdown...

Back in the day - Britney Spears:

#3 - Gimme More (2007)
#18 - Hold it against me (2011)
#20 - Piece of me (2007)
#23 - Criminal (2011)
#26 - 3 (2009)
#31 - My prerogative (2005)
#34 - Someday (I will understand) (2005)
#41 - Do somethin' (2005)

Image

#17 with ur love CHER LLOYD FEAT. MIKE POSNER (391 points, monthly peak: #2)

The first and only 'XFactor' contestant in top20, it's Miss Cher Lloyd! I love her debut album 'Sticks + Stones'. Second single 'With Ur Love' (featuring Mike Posner) smashed my chart and peaked at #2. Really catchy, feel-good song with a little bit cheesy lyrics was a HUGE hit for Cher on my chart. It's her highest entry in 2011, but it's not an easy task for a new artist to get into top20 of the year!

Back in the day - Cher Lloyd:

#17 - With Ur Love (feat. Mike Posner) (2011)
#37 - Swagger Jagger (2011)
#94 - Want U Back (2011)

Image

#16 lay it on me KELLY ROWLAND FEAT. BIG SEAN (396 points, monthly peak: #4)

That was a very good year for Kelly Rowland! Altough her new album 'Here I Am' was a huge disappointment for me, she released fierce singles in 2011. 'Lay It On Me' is one of many 'What's my name?' rip-offs, but it's a very good one. It's Kelendria's highest entry this year as lead single 'Motivation' flopped really hard on my chart (although I really like it now  ) scoring 28 points (monthly peak: #24).

Back in the day - Kelly Rowland:

#11 - Commander (2010)
#14 - Like this (feat. Eve) (2007)
#16 - Lay it on me (feat. Big Sean) (2011)
#18 - Cater 2 U (with Destiny's Child) (2005)
#27 - Down for Whatever (feat. The Wav.s) (2011)
#36 - Lose my breath (with Destiny's Child) (2005)
#42 - When love takes over (feat. David Guetta) (2009)
#48 - Girl (with Destiny's Child) (2005)
#86 - Daylight (feat. Gym Class Heroes) (2007)
#90 - Forever and a day (2010)
#92 - Rose Colored Glasses (2010)

Great selection there - I like all of them (even Cher Lloyd to a degree!)

Actually I would say that the Britney, Beyonce and Katy Perry songs there are amongst my favourites that they have recorded! I'm not normally a fan of any of them, but they are all fantastic pop songs!

All 5 of those songs are great and all of them made my top 100 except Kelly (but that is released next year here).

That song made me a Cher Lloyd fan!

Thank you for your comments once again! I really appreciate it! :)

Here it is - my official Top20 Best Songs from 2011!

Image

#15 mr. know it all KELLY CLARKSON (400 points, monthly peak: #1)

It's time for the first single from Kelly's new album 'Stronger'. IMO this song is 'Just The Way You Are' little sister. 'Mr. Know It All' went #1 in September with the lowest amount of points in 2011 (150 scored, max. 180). It's the last entry for Kelly this year, but I guess she'll do even better with her future singles in 2012.

Back in the day - Kelly Clarkson:

#11 - Because of you (2005)
#15 - Mr. Know It All (2011)
#23 - Behind these hazel eyes (2005)
#29 - Since U Been Gone (2005)
#33 - Breakaway (2006)
#43 - Stronger (what doesn't kill you) (2011)
#45 - Never again (2007)
#47 - My life would suck without you (2009)

Image

#14 last friday night (t.g.i.f) KATY PERRY (424 points, monthly peak: #2)

Ooh we've just lost another contender! Actually, no one has voted for Miss Katy. Fifth single from 'Teenage dream' is her highest charted song this year. I feel like I've known that song since forever as it was my immediate favourite from her second album. It's a great party song with AWESOME video (hey Rebecca!). I'm kinda sad Katy misses top10 in 2011 as last year she put three singles in top10. Anyway, I'm pretty sure Miss Perry will continue to slay in 2012.

Back in the day - Katy Perry:

#3 - California Gurls (feat. Snoop Dogg) (2010)
#6 - Teenage dream (2010)
#9 - Firework (2010)
#14 - Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F) (2011)
#19 - The One That Got Away (2011)
#25 - Thinking of You (2009)
#30 - E.T. (feat. Kanye West) (2011)
#43 - Waking Up in Vegas (2009)

Image

#13 i wanna go BRITNEY SPEARS (429 points, monthly peak: #4)

With 429 points it's time for the third entry this year from Britney! 'I Wanna Go' was one of the anthems during the summer. This song is just so incredibly catchy that you have to whistle along with Britney. If it had 3 points more, it would be another top10 smash for Spears. Unfortunately, it lands 'only' at #13 in 2011.

Back in the day - Britney Spears:

#3 - Gimme More (2007)
#13 - I Wanna Go (2011)
#18 - Hold it against me (2011)
#20 - Piece of me (2007)
#23 - Criminal (2011)
#26 - 3 (2009)
#31 - My prerogative (2005)
#34 - Someday (I will understand) (2005)
#41 - Do somethin' (2005)

Image

#12 yoü and i LADY GAGA (429 points, monthly peak: #3)

Here comes the last song from Lady GaGa. 'Yoü and I' is my favourite single from 'Born This Way'. It was a huge hit on my chart which was kinda suprising as the previous three underpeformed. It's such a shame that she didn't manage to get this into top10.

Back in the day - Lady GaGa:

#1 - Poker face (2009)
#3 - Paparazzi (2009)
#4 - Alejandro (2010)
#6 - LoveGame (2009)
#12 - Bad romance (2010)
#12 - Yoü and I (2011)
#17 - Telephone (feat. Beyonce) (2010)
#21 - Judas (2011)
#32 - Born this way (2011)
#33 - The Edge of Glory (2011)
#39 - Eh, Eh (2009)
#53 - Marry the night (2011)

Image

#11 don't hold your breath NICOLE SCHERZINGER (430 points, monthly peak: #2)

And finally the last song for today it's brilliant single from Nicole Scherzinger. It's just missed top10, but it was REALLY close. Stunning track was a huge grower for me. It spent three months inside top10 peaking at #2 in March. Even though 'Don't hold your breath' didn't make it to the final 10 it's not the last word from Miss Scherzinger!

Back in the day - Nicole Scherzinger:

#3 - Buttons (feat. Snoop Dogg) (with The Pussycat Dolls) (2006)
#4 - Stickwitu (with The Pussycat Dolls) (2005)
#7 - Hush Hush; Hush Hush (with The Pussycat Dolls) (2009)
#8 - Jai Ho! (with The Pussycat Dolls) (2009)
#11 - Don't hold your breath (2011)
#15 - Poison (2010)
#16 - Beep (feat. Will.I.Am) (with The Pussycat Dolls) (2006)
#22 - Wet (2011)
#23 - Baby love (feat. Will.I.Am) (2007)
#24 - I don't need a man (with The Pussycat Dolls) (2006)
#26 - Whatever U Like (feat. T.I.) (2007)
#31 - Try with Me (2011)
#31 - Wait a minute (feat. Timbaland) (with The Pussycat Dolls) (2006)
#36 - Come to me (feat. Diddy) (2006)
#37 - Don't cha (with The Pussycat Dolls) (2005)
#48 - Whatcha Think About That (feat. Missy Elliot) (with The Pussycat Dolls) (2009)
#93 - Nobody Can Change Me (2010)
#94 - Heartbeat (feat. Enrique Iglesias) (2010)
