Surprised this is even top 30 on the mids, I know albums are selling fairly badly but the promo for this has been terrible (well I saw a short show about the album on late on Channel 4 a few weeks ago and don't recall anything else)

I haven't got the album yet but will shortly though I don't expect it to be anywhere near as good as the debut especially as some of the ITunes snippets don't sound that thrilling

Still find it odd how she gets nominated for a Brit first time round and then totally ignored this time

You missed Human (bonus track - about a minute after Gone Gone Gone ends on the CD).

Not that Human is worth the wait.

The album is not bad. It's just all on one level and rarely lifts off into the stratosphere. Blue Eyes has a great groove and melody and the ballad Cellophane is fantastic - the only song i have on constant repeat (though i don't think it would work as a single). Gone Gone Gone i already knew was great.

Her last album was the best of that year. This falls well short of that.

Oddly, she joins my #2 of that year Santo(i)gold in following it with a disappointment. It's better than hers, though not by much.

3/5

Peaked at 12 NZ (debut was #1), 17 Australia (debut was same as UK peak - 16).
