Parking Lot sounds GREAT, so sad that Interscope has so mismanaged this era so far, this album has potential, maybe not as smasher but for some nice hits

Parking Lot is really great. It really gets stuck in your head. Hopefully THIS can sort out this era. I hope Interscope put some promo in it if it's definitely the US single.

Parking Lot is amazing SHOULD'VE been the first single!! Interscope officially sucks. How they couldn't tell this was a hit is ridiculous..I'm afraid this era is past saving at this point commericially even if they WAKE UP and release this.

Nelly and her team are a mess, but everything we've heard so far is top notch. Parking Lot is another gem. 8-)

Parking lot is better than what she has put out so far, but it gets annoying after a few plays.

I wasn't sure about a successful comeback in the USA after the long gap of time since Loose, but I was pretty certain to have another successful era in Europe... now I'm starting to worry about the future of this project.

The album comes out in less than a month and the singles did nothing so far, I wish Spirit Indestructible could become a moderate hit at least, but it will need heavy promotion since right now it seems like most of the people haven't noticed it yet.

Now I don't require a long lasting era like the Loose one, but if when the album will be released there won't be a decent hit it will die very fast... and after all the wait it would be uncool to have a very short era!

Maybe there is a hidden smash on the record, which will become a hit and give attention to this era worldwide... but since I thought the same about the second single and it went unnoticed I can't predict anything.

I'm pretty sure this will bomb so hard!!! :( It will so painful to see as Nelly is not only one of my favourites but also one of the most original and talented singers out there... If the lead single and 2 singles did nothing how is this going to do great in the end? The USA is obviously given up on ... but even Canada! They don't seem to support her, or Germany ! :(

Thing is that you can't leave for more than around a year off the big radars, her Greatest Hits should have given a sign that people were not that here for her anymore, she (and her label) should have tried since her GH to put her in the spotlights again. Some magazine shoots, try to get her on some collabo's with highprofile or succesful acts. It all started well with those trailers, it looked promising, but they never did something to re-introduce her to the big problem. I really like her music, but it isn;t the most commercial stuff out there, yeah ofcourse exceptions are out there, but there were already expectations for Nelly.

It is sad to see this project handled so badly, the music really has potential, and even though it may would have not "smashed", this project should ahve given her atleast some decent to moderate performing singles.

Fans might kill me for saying that, but i would remove "Big Hoops" and "Spirit Indestructible" and release this album early 2013 with 2 other songs and a new first single in January with lots of promo worldwide.

nelly needs a huge promo line-up if she wants the album to go top 3.

the 6 years hiatus has killed any momentum she might have had in 2006..

selling 100k in the US seems to be high expectation at this point, going gold in germany is almost certain though (=100k).

That would be awful, Interscope is a mess atm, whether she would rework the album and release it begin 2013 or release the album how it is next month, it probably will turn out in a mess in the end anyways. She should just release it next month, deal with an underperformance and maybe work on a EP or short album for release in end 2013/begin 2014, if nothing else works of TSI and if something works in the end, to deal with the damage with a possible re-release.

I don't care about her chart positions... as long as the music is good, I'll be happy.

I think it's the case with a lot of artists who reach their commercial peak with one particular album, that they/the label think that they've become big enough to cement their success permanently. They then go off and take a break/do a different project etc.

In reality, an artist needs another successful album, after their big breakthrough album to cement their longevity. Nelly chose the Spanish album and had a huge gap between English albums. I think things would have turned out differently if she'd released another English album, then the hits album, followed by the Spanish album.

The single "Spirit Indestructible" is actually released the week AFTER the album in the UK. I'm still really looking forward to it but I don't think it's going to be a big commercial success sadly. I'm not sure Nelly is hugely chasing it though? I think she just wants to make the music she wants to make.

Parking Lot is lovely, it could have been better with her usual voice, i don't know what happen to her. She's too nasally, it's irritating. :-?
