CZB, what do those numbers in brackets [123] mean?
He takes the positions from his alltime chart - the numbers are the alltime rankings.

The Genesis "entry" is just the 3x3 EP but with a different credit on Chart Archive's site in the EP's final UK chart week. http://chartarchive.org/a/genesis A mistake. The song was a single in America on its own.

The Brat - a riff on John McEnroe's infamous Wimbledon tantrums: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poJN7ix16hU - Rory Bremner's N-N-Nineteen Not Out was better, this is terrible!

Jeff Wayne's Matador was ITV's World Cup theme, charting same week as BBC's.

1 1 Missing Persons - Words
2 2 Dexys Midnight Runners with The Emerald Express - Come On, Eileen
3 3 Bananarama - Shy Boy
4 4 The Clash - Rock The Casbah
5 5 The Teardrop Explodes - Tiny Children
6 6 Trio - Da Da Da
7 7 Irene Cara - Fame
8 8 New Order - Temptation
9 9 Blondie - Island Of Lost Souls
10 10 A Flock Of Seagulls - Space Age Love Song
11 11 Bow Wow Wow - I Want Candy
12 12 Roxy Music - Avalon

UK songs "Bubbling Under" the top 75 are marked *:

Check the PDF files at bottom for (almost) complete lists. *none listed now until end of August, sadly*

No worries, we can't notice everything. An all-time chart must me lots of work. Do you update it with new songs as well?

Over nearly thirty-three years, it must have built up into a lot of time in total! But it now takes maybe just half a day a month for me to bring all my files up to date, with only the eighty tracks in my new monthly top forty and top forty breakers moving up, and everything else sliding slightly downwards to accommodate them.

I haven't had time to do that for this month yet.....

The last update had 5,085 in total - 2,560 that reached my top forty [ and I've been trying to figure out which one has been somehow omitted from all of the yearly charts covering each year up to 2009 on my thread in the Personal Charts forum !! ], 1,293 that have been listed as breakers, and 1,232 others - although there are more waiting to be added in. That's actually an average of just under three singles a week that I've bought - but over time it builds up to quite a huge total. No doubt other other forum members have found this too!
