which i doubt.

may be true for most of them, but Paradise Lost is one of the most successful and best known metal bands in the world - not to know them is just a lack of general knowledge and unexcusable therefor.

Are you sure that "Paradise Lost is one of [...] best known metal bands in the world"?
I think far more people know Nightwish, Evanescence or Within Temptation, Rammstein or Metallica than them...

1. I am.
2. neither Evanescence nor Rammstein are metal bands.
3. sure, the elite (Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slayer, even Nightwish) is and always will be out of reach to Paradise Lost, but they come close, i think.
what's sure is they are BY FAR the most sucessful and best known Gothic Metal band in the world.
i am pretty sure that of all the metal bands in history, Paradise Lost are among the 20 bands that sold most in their career and sure are one of the most influential bands ever (for they invented and created what we know as Gothic Metal today).

Im not sure about this. If you call Type O Negative a Gothic Metal band, Paradise Lost are not the most sucessful one. Type O Negative even recieved a platinum certification in the US.

Only these fourteen hits would have been caught and removed by the old exclusion rules this week.

Is there a reason why the 4-year-old Stadtaffe is in the lower part of the Albums Chart for quite some time now?

Type 0 comes as #2 i think, yes. for they sold much better in the US (at last, they are an American band), but never as much as PL in Europe.

The only german artist who sings in english i saw being played on radio were Stanfour and being successful in there, the other artists at best make an appearance in the bottom of the chart for max 2 weeks.

Well, last week we had Roman Lob, Ivy Quainoo and Stefanie Heinzmann in the Top 30, plus Rea Garvey in the Top 50.

You should take into consideration that Mandy Capristo's song may just be not good enough.
TOP: 1. Producers - Garden Of Flowers 2. The Black Keys- Little Black Submarines 3. Calexico - Splitter

because most germans only know acts with successfull singles.

typical "album-artists" are not so well known in the mainstream-generation

Well I guess that depends on who you're asking. Album acts like Roger Cicero are surely better known than singles acts like Flo Rida.

Though Roger Cicero isn't that well known anymore. His popularity steadily decreased since his ESC-performance a few years ago.
I think there are other album acts that are better known like Silbermond, Rosenstolz or Andrea Berg.

Of course they are. I didn't say that Cicero was the most famous of all artists. There's just more people who know him than who know Flo Rida. It was an example.

The album will increase in the next weeks thanks to Eurovision hype, so i don't worry

What a fail, that show is done now, thank god.
that's logical. the winner came from swiss, so all swiss people voted for himn, but they don't buy his song in germany.
Then why Switzerland didn't get any points from Germany in Eurovision final last year?

Lena's Good News up to the week representing the week after the ESC:
1[32k] / 2[22k] / 1[26k] / 2 / 2 / 7 / 12 / 17 / 17 / 16 / 13 / 20 / 31 / 8 / 8 / 26 / [...]

So Good News sold kinda well at the beginning rather due to the show in which her songs were voted and due to it being the follow-up to the successful My Cassette Player (5x Gold), but when it neared the Eurovision Song Contest, it fell steadily. The huge jump 31-8 was in the week after the ESC representing the sales of the week before the show (Was there some promo? I don't remember...) and then it stayed at No. 8 in the week representing the week the ESC took place before it fell heavily in the whole week after the show...

Are you being serious? What other promo do you need than being on Eurovision in a few days?

A performance somewhere or anything...
Of course the ESC-hype could've been an explanation, but if that's true, then I wonder why there was no notable increase in the week of the full ESC-exposure or the whole week effected by that (when it fell to No. 26)...

It was #8 for two weeks - containing the sales of the week before the ESC and the week after (including the event). This seems completely normal to me.
